Eh, BMW has done coupes with V12's before. Mercedes has done up to very recently. I feel it's perfectly acceptable to have a V12 K-series.

It seems like the devs intended to make a V12 version as there are letterings prepared for it. There are also V10 and V8 letterings for the K-series and sedan letterings for the 800-series.

No because the k series is too small. It’s the size of an slk, and Mercedes would only put a v12 in the s class coupe. Bmw would only put a v12 in the 6 series.

ETK is not an exact copy of BMW though.

Not only K-series is too small but, if we stick with real life scenario, basically V12 were dropped in 2000-05ish. Right now German cars that have V12 are luxury cars like Maybach, S class, 7 series (BTW they dropped V12 from 7 series for full electric power), sport cars like SL or... these SUV abominations like Audi Q7 V12 Diesel.

So V8 is max what K-series could get.

    Also... this is offtopic.

I feel like you’re all ignoring the fact that there are v10 and v12 badges already in the model files

Things tend to end up different. Look at Wendover, or all these old maps that were just deleted. So, because there are some badges doesn't mean we will get that content for 100%.

Nah, ETK isn't a direct copy of anything. Aston Martin had the V12 Vantage up to 2018. The Vantage was a small car.

It's entirely realistic, especially if it's smaller displacement with turbos.

the ETK k series in no way competes with the Aston Martin vantage. It’s more like a 3 series coupe than anything.

The only thing is that real life equivalents to the K Series have Inline 4's as the base engine and inline sixes, V6's, or V8's as top spec engines. A V12 would probably be a class above vehicles like the K Series.

A V12 would make sense for a luxury limousine like the BMW 7 Series or S Class Mercedes or a GT car like the BMW 8 Series from the 90's (we don't have many ETK vehicles that bridge the age gap between the I series and the 800/K Series).

blah, blah BeamNG isn't in our universe so doesn't have to exactly follow real car trends blah.

Etk is as if you were send heavily jpegd inages of bmw and mercedes sent to a chinese car maker that then got the "made in china" sticker peeled off.

Luckily we don't have to care about what exactly real world car makes did or didn't do :)

    Over thinking speculation :
Oh okay so it's totally possible to have a Bugatti engine is this small sport car ! ;)

(This also means that devs can make original chooses in terms of design and engines)

how to racecar: large engine + small car

ontopic: the etks could still use something design wise to tie the brand together somewhat, like where did the ''not a bmw grille'' originate from?

Its always cool to see these, some of the backround and details that went into projects. Seeing the expanded version of West Coast was awesome. Maybe someday it can happen
