In the color configs section, is the "Chrominess" control no longer valid? I change it and it doesn't appear to do anything anymore. But I notice there are quite a few new parameters as well. Has Chrominess = 0% (I think?), been replaced by: Metallic = 100% Roughness = 0% ? Would make sense as that's what turns the vehicle to reflective chrome for me, but then why hasn't chrominess been removed yet, if it no longer does anything?
You are correct, and the reason it hasn't been removed is because it would break all non-PBR mods if it was removed. You should thank the devs for that.
Okay, I thank the devs, I wasn't thinking about the cars that lack the PBR. I forget what PBR stands for, but I know it has something to do with the clear coat and the alpha-channel. Thank you for letting me know.
Physically Based Rendering. It's a graphic technique/technology that makes the game adjust properties of a texture depending on which material it is bound to, like glossy plastic, rubber, glass etc. instead of having to manually input all the values
Thank you for explaining. It's simply amazing. Cars now have real clearcoat on them... or look metallic. I hadn't paid so much attention to other types of surfaces/materials... but I'll do so next time I'm in the game.
