Not sure if anyone's done this yet, but just out of curiosity, which BeamNG car do you think is most deserving of a remaster for 0.24? Probably the Bolide, because it's the fourth-oldest vehicle to be created for the game, or the Moonhawk, which came sixth. I can't say I'd choose any option personally, but I'd go with the Pessima because it's my favorite of the five I put in the list.
I'd rather the Bolide took a longer time but got remastered into better standards, and I like the Moonhawk better, so it should be remastered first.
Honestly i cant wait to see how they are going to remaster the older cars. Id hope that someday every car is at the d series level
I updated my list predicting the quality standards of vehicles, with the bar raised a bit relative to the more recent remasters. this puts the bolide and 200bx with the most things to be done, followed by the moonhawk, covet, semi, midsize, grand marshal, and miramar with four things each. the sunburst, burnside, van, barstow, sbr, K and 800 have 3 areas of improvement, leaving them probably to later, which leaves effectively just the pessima and etki with one or two points of improvement. note that this doesn't include updating existing materials to PBR, but rather fully redoing textures to the current standard, adding weathering, etc.
Amazing how the I-Series still mostly holds up to today's standards despite being old as heck and never having recieved any content updates. Meanwhile the Covet despite having recieved a ton of stuff in small gradual upgrades over the years is still lacking something here and there.
Where are they at? I found files called "etkc_v12parts" as cdae and dae but im not to confident thats for badging
Actually not. The K-Series has, basically the same size as a AMG GT and is just a little bit shorter than a SL, so, a V12 makes some sense.
The K-Series is based on a D-segment platform and it's about 20 cms shorter than the current SL, which is based on an E-segment platform instead, and never had a range of 4, 6 and 12 cylinder engines at the same time in its whole career. If anything, a V8 could make some sense. A V12...? Not so much... The AMG GT on the other hand is a dedicated, full-fledged sportscar - so, again, not in the same league as the K-Series - and still, it's only available with a V8 engine in various states of tune.
In my opinion, a V12 makes no sense for the K and 800 series... It could be under the hood of a huge sedan like a class S, a big SUV like a GLS or a super sport car like an Audi R8 or something like this... For a performance engine, I think the better choice is a 4.0 liters V8 with something like 500-600hp (and much more tuned) and a beautiful sound, just like the Audi RS6 for example
I do think any sort of V10/V12 would be best saved for at least an upscale cousin of the current ETK's, if not an entirely new platform. They really aren't the right market segment for something like that. IMO give both of them an in house tuning company spec with a V8.
The only thing we have there is the facelift D-Series and facelift Roamer, would be nice to get a car that starts at that time period, preferably a European minivan, this all adds up to a large missing archetype
Wait, wasn't the Wigeon a fun enthusiastic kit-car-ish based on the Pigeon? On the list the Pigeon is younger
On the wiki the dates are not the same than in the game and I used the wiki ones for the 2 first ones. I use the in game date for the third one (just a 2 years change). --- Post updated --- yeah but idk how to make one
