What i dont understand is why the 800 series was only built from 2013 to 2017 most of the cars the 800 is copying were buit way longer at that time. The F30 BMW for example was built from 2011-2019 The A4 had a model change the first one was built from 2007-2015 and the gen after from 2015 till now The Mercedes was built from 2014 till this year. What i mean by saying that is that most german cars were built way longer and had a facelift between it so it would make sence to make a facelift of the 800 thats produced till 2021 or so.
I think that the 800 series needs a 2017-2020 facelift, with more modern equipment, less BMW design and maybe hybrid
Since you all are arguing if it would be real or if it would make sense to have a V10 or V12 in the modern ETK's, allow me to quote Diamondback from a few pages ago
For your second datasheet, I will just inform you of the mistake that the Legran actually also has a wagon/estate body in its variants and is therefore missing from the "wagon" category.
Also an American minivan like Chrysler/Dodge Caravan or Ford Windstar/Freestar. And an early to mid 2000s Japanese crossover SUV similar to the earlier generations of Honda CR-V
Honestly I just want a minivan, period. Also, does anyone remember the bolide revamp rumor that came from an update trailer, .20 i believe it was? What’s the status on that?
On hold, stoat said that the revamp isn’t gonna happen for awhile because others are gonna get revamped before it
Would make sense to focus on a platform that can help fill missing niches and help with gameplay variety. Pessima would give us a 90's minivan while the Moonhawk could give us a 70's sedan (perfect for police cars), a Ute or a wagon. A 70's sedan would give us more period police chases and there isn't anything to fill the niche of a 70's midsize or fullsize US BOF sedan. And a ute would give us another choice of pickup vehicle as the D series is too big and the pigeon is too small.
Maybe this is just me, but do European car makers make any minivans worldwide or no? I'm trying to think of any and the only one that comes to mind recently is a VW, but even that was a rebadged Chrysler in North America. I think it would be better to have the devs focus their energy on cars sold worldwide, such as European sedans/wagons/SUVs sold between 1995 and 2020. Honestly, a midsize pickup is completely missing from the game, is sold worldwide, and could be made European or American (or even Australian), making it a very good possible addition. Having said that, midsize pickups flourished from the early 80s to early 00's, which means they don't branch out in terms of year sold, and the game really needs that too. I think earlier than 1980 and later than 2000 is where the attention really needs to be. Independent thought here, an early car, like a people's car (Ford Model T, Citroen 2cv) is missing, and commonly modded cars, like 30's Fords/Chevys and VW bugs (which coincidentally are also people's cars), are missing but could provide quite alot of additional content all in one vehicle. Maybe they'll go that route?
I'm not gonna lie, it was actually pretty annoying when I saw "we remastered it to the old standard and then raised the standards before we could release it, the full remaster won't be coming for a while". In my opinion, now that the Pigeon is dealt with, the Bolide is probably the one vehicle more than any other that needs a remaster as soon as possible. But it got me thinking, if they're not working on the Bolide next, what else could possibly be getting in front of it? And then it hit me. Miramar. Yes, I know, the Moonhawk, '96 Pessima, Barstow, I-series, and Sunburst are all either content-poor or haven't been looked at much recently, but the Miramar has them all beat. Between the gauge setup that doesn't make sense for either engine, the small number of configs, the serious lack of content, and the fact that it just plain hasn't got much attention since its 2019 body reshape, it's right up there with the Bolide in terms of needing a remaster. So, odds of next remaster being the Miramar?
I don't know if, when devs choose a car to remaster, they choose the car that needs a remaster the most, or just a car that the community asked for... Because in my opinion (and it's my personal tastes) I'd prefer a Sunburst or 1996 Pessima revamp as a Miramar revamp, just because I don't really use this car ! So if they struggle to remaster cars that needs remasters, we will probably have the Miramar, the Bolide, the T-series... In the other hand, they could remaster cars that the community want the most : the Bolide (we already know it'll be remastered), 1996 Pessima, Sunburst, Covet and H-series. There's also another option : they could remaster cars more randomly to make "cousin cars" (idk the exact term in English) which will share the same platform. For example, when it was remastered, the Legran wasn't the car that needed a remaster the most, but it was more practical to remaster it with the release of the Wendover ! So then, we don't really know which car will be remastered, but it can combines two or even three of these "points"... The Covet for example really needs a remaster and the community loves it ! Furthermore, it can do a really good "cousin cars" with maybe a Gavril badged Covet or even a Covet II... So in conclusion I'll say that devs don't remaster cars randomly ; and there are three possible "reasons" for them to remaster the cars, and the future cars to be remastered have to fit in most of them
The LeGran actually did need that remaster. It was incredibly content-poor and the interior was probably the worst in the game at the time.
Mercedes makes the V class/Viano or whatever it's called, and also the metris.. other that that, maybe Volkswagen? Not sure..
Mercedes has the V and B class and VW has several diffrent minivans bmw even has a small somewhat van the 2 series active tourer
I had another idea about the Miramar. This is way out of left field and probably more suggestion than speculation, but since the devs seem to be releasing two-car themed updates now, it makes me wonder if the Miramar remaster might not end up including a license-built version of it - for example, a Russian clone with heavier bodywork, a gutless (but tough and tunable) engine, and an absurdly long production run. License-built cars weren't necessarily unheard of at the time. I think you already know what car the Commie Miramar would be emulating, even if the real-life car started as a Fiat, but then that wasn't the only Fiat to end up license-built in the Bloc. Additionally, several early Hyundais were apparently built on Mitsubishi or British Ford designs, and one Alfa in the 70s or 80s was a Nissan (and not a particularly good one) underneath. Even into the 90s, East Timor had a locally-built version of the then-current Toyota Corolla (don't remember the brand name it was sold under) - not to mention, American and Japanese manufacturers constantly traded designs during this period. (The Ford Escort I used to drive, for example, was a rebadged and Ford-powered Mazda Protege.)
on the flipside, japanese cars weren't probably perceived highly enough for a country like russia to buy designs from them; most russian companies based their cars off western european, such as the fiat 124's FSO and lada derivatives, or american designs, in the case of the packard based gaz chaika. and considering the amount of possible content (and the extent of modifications needed to make it into a russian car), i'd expect that if they were to make a larger russian car, it would just be completely unique from anything existing. Personally, i think there are much more obvious directions they could head with the miramar. exhibit A would be some sort of light roadster, perhaps a predecessor to the 200bx, akin to the nissan fairlady sports. this car was effectively entirely identical to a nissan bluebird, just with the engine slid back further and a lower, lighter body. knowing the devs though, they often like to go for more unconventional vehicle demgraphics, and a mmidsize japanese van like a hiace/caravan could fill such a niche. It would likely be able to share parts with the hopper and pigeon, and would be the second van, and second 70's vehicle, in the game. but even just staying within the miramar, there's plenty to make; Hardtop 2-door versions, convertibles, elongated engine bays to fit 6-cylinder engines, facelifts, wagons, panel vans, coupe and sedan utilities, etc.
I've always wanted to do an Autobello licensed version of the Miramar if I could ever learn to mod. I'd just pair the boxer to a RWD transmission, put in some stronger/stiffer suspension, LHD conversion, and maybe open up the front of the car for better cooling. Stuff like that wouldn't be hard to do, it wouldn't surprise me if a rebadge or license built variant makes it in the game.
