I used the data from the official beamng website, and there the Legran is classified as a sedan.

From the wiki on this website? That hasn't been updated in ages due to the rollout of the new documentation site

Yes, the documentation on the "new" website.

It take into account the basic version of each vehicle, and so the basic version of the Legran is a sedan version.

If we took into account all the body types according to all the versions of each car it would just be hell.

When it comes to documentation, the more info the better IMO; I don't see a point in a documentation system that's light on information. Another picture or two and a line for alternate body styles wouldn't add that much clutter. Something like the D-Series would need some sort of combination table but that's the only "difficulty" I can think of.

On a related note, the same goes for the in game vehicle selector. I'd love to see at least things like wheelbase and width; more detailed geometry such as approach/departure angles would be appreciated as well. It's nice to have easy access to information instead of having to dig around for it.

    Just a question a little out of context : how far does this "schedule" goes ? 0.25 ? 0.30 ? ...
(Just asking for my own curiosity)

Probably all the way up until the full release (1.0), but might not be very detailed for later updates

Isn't Wentward the only vehicle with some kind of fracture mechanics? I mean when you ram into the side or shoot the cannon it breaks up the body.

From the graphs it looks that europe is way behind with the number of vehicles and europe is irl probably the most versatile with types of vehicles. But this is not a complain as I get that this game meant to be firstly derby game with rusty american boats.

This level of clarity and outreach to the community is exactly why I treasure the BeamNG devs. Few dev teams would go out of their way to respond directly to individual feedback like this, and even fewer would take the time to write such an in depth response to criticism.

True, but the Piccolina (ahem, not a 500, ahem) is a little late to the game, starting in '57, with the 2cv starting in '48, Beetle in '38, Model A in '27, and Model T in '08 (that's 1908 :) )

Yeah, I don't think anywhere in North America gets those :(

Edit: it appears that if you have 921,000 Mexican dollars, you can afford a V-series, so Mexico has them, my bad.

There is one VW Van you get but we dont get its the Routan? I think its called that at least. Also the BMW and Merc is really bad for the high bmw and merc standards

I think the V class is sold (or at least was sold) here in NA as the Metris. The B class is discontinued here, and the 2 Series Active tourer doesn't appear to exist in Canada at least. We do get the Gran coupe tho.

The Routan was based on the Dodge Grand Caravan/Chrysler Town & Country/Lancia Voyager chassis and was discontinued in 2014.

While technically the Beetle was a pre-war design, civilian Beetle production was extremely limited until the late 1940's (for obvious reasons). The effective model year of the Beetle isn't that far from the Piccolina and 2CV. The Piccolina is mechanically a Beetle anyway, just with some Fiat 600 inspiration. Then there's the official description of Autobello as "founded by Vincenzo Bello in 1948 to build affordable family cars after the second world war".

Overall I'd say it fills the mid twentieth century people's car niche very well; something like a 2CV or Beetle would be redundant. Pre-war is another matter though.

It might be made of alluminum rather than steel and that's why it fractures. The Pigeon is (mostly) made of plastic and it can do that as well.

Technically I'm a bit late getting to 50 votes for an update, but since two people chose "other" and didn't specify in a way I could see what other car they thought should have been considered, those votes won't count, so here's a 50 vote update on the poll.

I guess now is probably a good time as any to mention that I was not aware that the Bolide remaster could take longer than initially proposed to be ready in time for this autumn's major update. Thanks to those who have been clarifying it in these recent posts, that yes, the Bolide will definitely be remastered, just maybe not this time. Regardless of this apparently lasting information, though, the Bolide is well in the lead - although it falls short of a supermajority, it runs far along, by 2:1 over the second place contestant, the happy little Pessima, which got a few more votes than I was expecting. (No, I have not submitted a vote for it or for any of the other cars, as I think that would not be very fair, but I'm still looking forward to a Pessima update.) I figured the even older Moonhawk, which sits dead in the middle just behind the Pessima's boot, would overtake the 0.4.x-era midsize car fairly well, and as for the others, well for now, they're probably fine the way they are and can wait a little longer for a refresh, compared to some of the other cars.

I did see a few mentions for the ETK 800, which is under-utilized and unusually short-run for a German estate, and the Ibishu Miramar which also has glaring issues such as lacking international variation and a proper set of gauge clusters. Really, any pre-0.6.x car that hasn't already been remastered probably needs to be. The one exception was the Bruckell LeGran, the most recently introduced of the remastered vehicles, which hitched along its caravan with update 0.8. I will agree that this was one of the least-interesting cars in the game prior to 0.22, and while I haven't driven it even since that update, mostly due to a perceived lack of time on my part, I really think that car deserved its overhaul and increased customization just about as much as the Wendover deserved taking the field with it after a long sit-out on the sidelines.

Anyway, since the Bolide is technically disqualified from the poll due to both being confirmed to receive a remaster as well as its uncertainty to be released in that state in time for the update (not that you can't still vote for it if you have the nerve), it pretty much comes down to any of the other cars, which means... *stifles a grin but fails* :D the 1996 Ibishu Pessima is currently the car that we think deserves the remastered vehicle slot in update 0.24. Of course, it's fine if it turns out not to be the Pessima, and that the developers have the final say in which vehicle is most practical and possible for a remaster within the three or four months following update 0.23. Please, though, still be the Pessima, I have faith in you Gabe, Mitch, Stoat, Diamondback, Alex, NinetyNine and all the rest.

If the 1996 Pessima recieves more parts, I'll definitely always use it ! Just listen to the sound of that V6 ! (Without exhaust)
A Sunburst revamp would be also cool ! ;)

Well I'm not making documentation, I'm just putting in perspective some data I found about vehicles. It's not a whole 40 pages report.

But what could they add to the 96 Pessima? The cars wich they are based on are ones like the Xedos 6 and they dont have much in the way of sporty models and diffrent bodystyles maybe a coupe version of it at the most?

The most logical revamp with the 96 pessima would be to combine it with the 200bx revamp and maybe some covet stuff aswell.
