Unable to change review rating for mod... why?

I gave a mod 3 stars because it caused some issues in the game. The mod maker responded with the solution and I'd like to change my review to 5 stars. But... it says "You can not update your rating or review once the author has responded." Why? Is this a bug, or is there some harebrained reason for this? I can't even delete the review. Now this poor guy's stuck with a lowered rating on his mod for... some arbitrary reason.

Is there a way around this?

Congratulations . That's a good thing you want to change your review, these days not many people would do that.

 

Where would I do this at? Do I have to DM? I don't see anywhere to make any comments or anything, I'm not terribly familiar with this forum style.

you can't change your original review because if the author has responded it might not make sense to others if you change your review afterwards with the author's response still being there.

 

so why can't I delete the review and repost it? Literally no other website or app I've ever used has had this limitation.
