    I know this is old thread and I'm not trying to bump this but this is a warning to anybody who stumbles across their page. I purchased this map on their site on Sunday and received a broken MediaFire link. I emailed their support email, request email, DMs on instagram, facebook and left multiple messages as well as DMs on their Discord server and still no reply. I'll let you know if anything gets updated but I'm really disappointed in what looks like a quality group as the Assetto Corsa side of things seems fine with no issues.

    Time to bump like there's no tomorrow. I watched the youtube video of this track and asked if it still works and the maker told me to email him.
    So I did. And he said that the track is still working ok. He asked for 5 euros for it and since I never give money to random people I met online I decided this will be the first and only time.
    For that 5€ I got a google drive link and yes, the map still works and it's propably because all the stuff is imported .dae and contained in the mod and not copied from beamng maps.
    Time to make a timetrial when I get back from work

    Nah they stopped with BeamNG map development from the looks of it.

    I’ve contacted them many times in past, last time like in 2020, reply is always that they’ll continue etc. But there’s 0 activity. They are a group of peoples that make paid mods, they've tried with BeamNG, and must have found that it won’t bring them profit, so they simply abandoned it. And it’s a shame, because those maps felt way more intense. While using their 2 maps in .drive it felt way closer to Dirt Rally than ever. Somehow vanilla maps can’t reproduce that feeling for me. Those gave a lot of speed sensation and rally feeling.

    I bought 3DSimed license, then I just convert whichever Assetto Corsa track I want to drive to BeamNG.

    While Simmtraxx maps are kind ok, I'm not sure if I would pay as some are definitely not up to dev quality that some other modders create.

    Of course modding is so much work these days that it is understandable modders wanting money, but there is something in way Simmtraxx works that I'm not quite fan of I guess.

    Anyway with 3DSimed converted Assetto Corsa tracks I have found out the same that driving feels way more immerse than with BeamNG maps.

    I would think that BeamNG maps are way too condensed turns and hills are tight and you end up to starting point so soon, it just has feeling of starting and ending the travel, but actual traveling part is kind of missing.
    At least that is what I feel being problem with most BeamNG maps and real world locations of Assetto Corsa manage to get this bit better.
    Also road surface of Assetto corsa adds a lot to feel in BeamNG, even bumps might be just artifical noise of physical surface, it does feel nice.

    With 3DSimed conversion is somewhat simple to do, but of course there are some issues that come with it then, performance being one big thing as LODs etc. gets lost in process, but to have proper dimensions and altitude changes on roads, that is huge thing regarding immersion.

    Targa Florio is and Nordschleife in BeamNG are just really letting BeamNG physics shine, it is so much better than condensed roads of East Coast USA and such.

    After all those conversion experiments I have come to think that terrain system in Beam just is not ever going to bring same level of real driving feel than using static objects, not sure what is future of game worlds in Beam, but I would focus heavily to moving on from terrain system as it is so much better experience to be had.

    Even dev team did change race tracks of game to 3d meshes instead of decal roads as it provides much improved feel and these days engine actually is capable of handling meshes fine.

    Anyway I still wish that Simmtraxx would come back in a future as perhaps BeamNG userbase is also changing more to support paid mods too.
    I woldn't be surprised that new mod services will emerge in future where you can subscribe to paid mods and modders get small share, websites might offer mods for numerous of games trough some kind of client in future.
    Spending hundreds of hours to mod all for free just is not really so worth to do, so I guess in some way paid mod is future way, is it advertisement or some other financial model providing funding for such, I don't know, but time of high quality free mods might end as time to make high quality mods gets higher and higher as realism increases.

    2000 polygon high detail car meshes with 512 single textures of past were so much faster to create, same with game worlds, not that I would like from paid mods, but it is very likely path I see things going, just not certain Simmtraxx way is the way that will work out the best.

    Absolutely horrible idea. Paid mods have no place in Beamng, or anywhere for that matter. I support the modders that deserve it, not the ones who charge for mediocre mods that others make at a higher quality without doing so. "Perhaps" all you won't, but it's not happening. Very high quality mods like the Dodge Coronet/Charger, Mustang 2015. Free. The expansive quality map mods from Bob Blunderton and others. Free. The revised Nordschleife that was just released. Free. I'll happily donate to those creators, but some modder charging for a mediocre mod I won't support.

    Sadly that is where modding will go if time required to make mods increases.

    Donation and other means of gaining income is just different way of getting paid by modding, we can't really stop that progress unless it becomes suddenly faster to create mods.

    It is less idea than sad path that we have been for many years in all games and modding in general, donations to access latest is just one step in that path.

    Once upon a time tutorials were freely shared, today they are tied with advertisements etc. to gain financial benefits from time spend.

    Perhaps you just did not understood what I meant, but I have been tampering with games creating new things before it was called modding, I have seen how things have changed and how they keep changing, I can assure you that money gets more involved in future, people want to get something from hundreds of hours of their time, which is of course just natural.

    Sites like Nexus mods are living from modders work, ads generate money for them, someday there will be system that shares money to modders too, subscription services have come to stay and it is only matter of time that someone figures out subscription mod services.

    Probably not going to use many mods then personally, it's all too professional these days already and in future it is going to be more so :p
