How to stop the game from updating when parts is changed?

Is there a way to only update the vehicle / prop when im done selecting parts instead of it resetting every time i change a part?

 

There should be a check box on the bottom of the parts selector to toggle this

 

Oh wow, thought for sure that was something else..

I feel blind.
