    Hi !

I've been playing Beamng for nearly five years, and I've always wanted to make a list of each of my ideas for the game ; so there it is ! ;)

This is REEEEEAAAAAAAAALLY long, so I made a summary, because otherwise, nobody would read a single word of it :

    • English isn't my mother's language, so I probably made grammar errors. Don't worry.

    • Some ideas may have already been proposed, but it's possible that I didn't saw them.

    • Some ideas are maybe already in the game. I'm pretty sure that this situation won't happen, but it is still possible. I did my best to avoid this.

    • Some ideas will be more realisable than others, so I know that they won't be all made in the game

    • I made some drawings for vehicles and maps design, but I'm not a professional drawer. I'm sorry if I made your eyes bleed

    • I put a lot of effort and time into this list, so please respect it and don't just answer "That was too long and I didn't read anything lol" or "None of this ideas will come into the game", Thanks ^^

    • I once again admire the work that you make, devs. The game has grown so much since the beginning ! So don't think I ignore the fact that you're doing your best to make this game better, these are just a lot of improvements which can be, easily or not, added to the game !

    • My ideas are maybe not the same as yours, we all have different points of view

    • You can reply with your ideas to improve that list, but the objective isn't to make a thread like the Vehicle Suggestion

    • I know that some of my ideas are already done by mods
    • This list will probably be updated in the future, by adding some new drawings for example. If you want, you can ask me to draw of of my ideas if I didn't, or eventually do it by yourself !
    • Don't forget to like or mark as "agree" if you enjoyed this content !
    Enjoy !:D

    Bruckell Bastion :

    • A 2022-2025 facelift with a 2.5 I4 with 290hp in replacement of the 3.5 V6
    New vehicles :

    Cherrier Vivace/Tograc 2012-2020 :

This generation of Cherrier will have the same engines as the “09 Hirochi Sunburst (I mean, after being remastered, like I explained up here), which are :

    For Petrol : A 1.6 95hp I4, a 1.8 135hp I4, a 2.0 I4 with 155, 218 and 293 hp, plus a 2.5 340hp I5.

    For Diesel : A 2.0 I4 with 100 and 150 plus a 180 hp variant.

There will be a facelift in 2015 with better lights, a new front fascia, a better interior with new gauges and screen, and a new rear bumper.

Motoriations will change with the facelift because the 1.6 95hp I4 and the 1.8 135hp I4 wil be replaced by the 1.2 I3 with 110 and 130 hp. The diesel 2.0 100hp I4 will go away for a new 1.5 100hp I4. The 2.5 I5 will gain 15hp and its power will grow from 340hp to 355hp.

The car will have a nice design, and the facelifted variant will look quite like the actual Vivace. It will be a reference in terms of driving experience.

The Tograc will be, as for the 2020 Vivace, a variant with higher suspensions and a more “off-road” look. This generation will have a quite specific dashboard with some “strong” and “adventurous sporty” looking stuff as a handle for the passenger, a digital watch and a specific steering wheel. The 2015 facelift will improve the front fascia in order to make it look more serious and premium, and less adventurous.

There will also be a sedan and a wagon version of the Vivace

    beamngideas013.jpg beamngideas014.jpg beamngideas015.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-49-30.png

    Hirochi Sunburst 2020-2028 :

The 2020 Hirochi Sunburst will be based on the new Cherrier Vivace. It will have the same engines, except that the 2.5 I5 will be replaced by a 2.0 Flat 4 with 330 and 400hp. The exterior design will be inspired by the last facelift of the SBR, and the led taillights will be really narrow. The interior will be nice looking and technologic with two huge screens, but not really original. There will be a sedan, a hatchback and a wagon, like the previous generation, but a crossover variant will appear. The “Suncross” will be a higher variant of the hatchback, with some roof racks, plastic trim, and some skid on the bumpers.
    beamngideas016.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-49-57.png

    Trekken Caravelle 2007-2019:

    The Trekken Caravelle will be an Australian sedan, with also a Wagon and a Pick-up Variant. It’s gonna have a 3.0 I4 Diesel Engine with 175hp, and a V6 : 3.6l 200 and 250hp. Then, there will be a petrol one, with 3.4 liters and 250, 290, 330 and 360hp ! A 4.0l V8 will come with 350 and 375 hp, a 5.5l one will have 460 and 550hp, and a crazy 7.4l will receive 675 hp in crazy configs !

It's design will be quite classic, but the body kits on sport variants will be incredible !

A facelift will happen in 2011 with just a new bumper, and a second one in 2015, with new rear taillights, and a completely new front fascia, but with the same style, but a bit modernized.

    beamng1011.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-50-38.png

    Cherrier Écho 1999-2014:

The Cherrier Écho will be a little hatchback made by Cherrier. It will be way more comfortable and safe than the Ibishu Covet for example due to a driver airbag by default, and an optional ESC on facelifted versions. It will have a pretty modern design for its time. In 2003, a tiny facelift will occur, with just transparent blinkers, new wheels and new colors. In 2006, a facelift will come with a new front fascia, new rear taillights and new wheels. The 2.0 75hp diesel will be replaced by a 1.6 85hp Turbo diesel I4. In 2010, a final facelift will occur, with a brand new front facia, side trim, wheels, door handles and rear taillights. It used to be a cheaper car as others, because of its older conception and its poor equipment. It will be declined in two variants : a really cheap one with just the essential (steel wheels, no A/C, manual windows…) and a fancier one (allow wheels, a little screen with navigation, a little spoiler…). Only the 1.4 I4 75hp, the 1.6 I4 95hp, and the diesel 1.6 Turbo 85hp will survive that

    For the motorisations, we will have for petrol : a 1.1 I4 60hp, 1.4 I4 75hp, 1.6 I4 95hp and 120hp, and a 2.0 I4 with 150hp and 180hp. For diesel, we'll have a 1.6 85hp Turbo I4 and a 2.0 75hp (no turbo), 90hp, 110hp and 130hp (sport configuration). We could also imagine a 2.5 I5 225hp and a 3.0 V6 variant with 260hp and RWD, with a huge bodykit, rear mounted engine and only available in 3 doors configuration from 2000 to 2008. This is a perfect recipe to build a car that wants to kill you, furthermore if it’s heavily modified.

    beamngideas011.jpg beamngideas012.jpg beamngideas002.jpg Scan11112021105531_009.jpg Scan11112021105531_010.jpg Scan11112021105531_011.jpg Scan11112021105531_006.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-51-10.png

    ETK R Series 2020-2027 :

The ETK R Series would be one of the best cars ever made by ETK. A full size sedan, with a majestic interior, digital gauges, a big screen and even a passenger screen as an option, and wait, also screens for the rear passengers. It would feature a ton of electronics to improve the driving experience and the comfort. There will be two "stock" sizes, (5,20m and 5,35m), a luxurious 5,40m version with a bigger greenhouse to improve the passengers comfort, and then a 6m long limousine. Except for the 5,20m, every car could be armoured. In terms of motorisations, base versions will have the 3.0 I6 from the 800 series (~ 250hp) and its diesel 2.0 I4 with 200hp, there will also be the 4.0 Petrol V8 of 400hp and a diesel version with 325hp.In terms of hybrid, we’ll have a plug-in hybrid 2.7 V6 with 300hp. There will be two 650hp engines : the 4.0 Petrol V8, for sporty configurations, and a 6.0 V12 for luxurious ones. For really top trims, we can imagine a 7.0 quadri turbo W16 of 900hp (because why not). We can also think about an absolute nonsense : a race version with the 3.0 petrol I6 with ~ 550hp after being nicely turboed (because why not)(again).

We will also have the ETK ELR, which is an electric version, with three powertrains availables : RWD 350hp, AWD 600hp and AWD 850hp.

    ETK X800 2014-2020 :

A midsize SUV based on the 800 series, with the same engines, the 4.0 630hp V8 and a 310 hp diesel variant. The interior would be quite luxurious, but like the 800 series, with a little screen.

In 2018, a facelift would happen, with a new interior, full led headlights, darker taillights, and bumper modifications inspired by the facelifted 800 series. The 4.0 Diesel V8 won’t be available anymore, except for its longer variant, the X1000

It would also have a coupé variant, the XC800, with a more sporty driving experience, and a longer variant, principally made for the USA, the X1000.

That car will have a ridiculously huge mass and big fat large tires.

Cherrier Builder / Hirochi Tarheat / Autobello Utilità 2009-2027 :

These vehicles will be full sized vans. They’ll have a very long lifespan and share a lot of parts together. There will be two (or three) facelifts : the first one in 2014, with just improved bumpers for the Hirochi, and a complete front fascia revamp for the Autobello and the Cherrier. Every van will receive new taillights. The second one will happen in 2020, with a brand new front fascia for everyone, which will improve the brand appartenance, new taillights for the Cherrier and an improved interior with a screen, and more modern looking gauges and steering wheel. Some driving aids will appear. We could also imagine a future facelift in 2024.

The motorisations will be a little complex to explain, so I did a table :

    upload_2021-11-11_11-52-33.png
There will be three lengths and two heights. Rwd and awd variants will also be available

Cherrier Regloo / Hirochi Leaftouch / Autobello Lello 2019-2029 :

This utility minivan will be on the same platform as the Vivace, and it will use the same 1.2 Petrol Engines with 110 and 130 horsepower, and also a 75 and 130 horsepower variant for the 1.5 I4 diesel. It will also have the 130hp electric motor. Every other engine from the Vivace and the Sunburst will be available as aftermarket options. An aftermarket 4x4 transmission would be nice.

For a utility vehicle, it will be well equipped and have a lot of tech. It will be available in two sizes. Every car will have the same interior, with just different seats, steering wheels, and gauges over the steering wheel on the Cherrier (like the Peugeot’s “I-cockpit”)

    beamngideas017.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-53-3.png

    Cherrier Sublime 2018-2025 :

The Cherrier Sublime will be a french midsize sedan, with also a wagon variant. Its engines will be quite the same as the Cherrier Maniac, but not the 2.0 I4 with 220hp (directly the 1.6). The interior will be really nice and modern, with digital gauges by default, and a quite huge screen. It won't be as original and as colourful as the Vivace’s interior, but it will have some same design ideas. The exterior design will be a bit like a 4doors coupé, and like the Vivace, sport versions will have a different tailgate and a widebody kit.

    beamngideas003.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-53-37.png

    upload_2021-9-1_18-16-48.jpeg

    Cherrier Maniac 2016-2023 :

The Cherrier Maniac will be a medium sized SUV (for Europe). It will have a quite aggressive exterior design, and a really modern interior, with digital gauges for top trims but a really small screen. A facelift in 2020 will refresh it, and modernize the interior, with a new and bigger screen, and digital gauges by default. The front fascia will be quite a lot modified, but only the taillights will be changed at the rear. A longer variant will also be available

There will be the 1.2 I3 engine with 130hp, the 1.6 I4 with 163hp and 220hp for the facelifted version, and the 2.0 I4 with the same 220hp for the prefacelifted version. The 2.0 I4 will also have a 270hp sport version. We’ll also have the 2.5 5 cylinders with 350hp for a really sporty version. There will be three diesels : the 1.5 with 130hp, and the 2.0 with 150hp and 194hp. We'll have a mild-hybrid with the 1.2 I3 engine with 160hp,and three plug-in hybrids with the 1.6 I4 engine with 185hp, 250hp and 300hp, all for the facelifted version.

Cherrier Cita / Hirochi Streety / Autobello Piccolina 2014-2022 :

These tiny cars will be really maniable in narrow streets, because of their small sizes. The Cherrier and the Hirochi will be just clones, with different front fascias, seats, wheels and taillights. The Autobello will be more original, with a coloured interior, and a unique retro exterior. They will be available in 3 and 5 doors, but for the Autobello, the 3 doors will be shorter than the Cherrier or the Hirochi. A van variant will also be available for the Autobello. In terms of motorizations, the will have a 1.0 I3 Petrol engine with NA 65hp, and the 1.2 I3 from the Vivace, with NA 85hp, turbo 100hp and a 120hp version which will be used as a “sporty” variant of the Cherrier and the Hirochi. For the Autobello, this will be just a top-trim variant, because it will use an 1.4 Turbo I4 of 145hp, 170hp and finally 190hp as its sporty variants. In another context, a 70hp 1.1L I2 diesel engine will also be available for the Hirochi and the Autobello. The Autobello will have a facelift in 2017, featuring new led headlights, and a different trim, and the Cherrier and Hirochi will have a facelift in 2019, with led headlights, a better interior screen, and new front fascias. In 2017, the Cherrier and the Autobello will stop Diesel, and in 2020, everyone will receive a 80hp electric motor.

    upload_2021-11-11_11-54-26.png

    Cherrier Théâtre 1999-2011 :

The Cherrier Théâtre would be a minivan, which, like the Citroën Xsara Picasso, looks like an egg (literally). This would have a great modularity and a huge and luminous interior space. (On my drawing, the Théâtre is quite longer and lower than my original idea). Seats will be really original, with for example some flowers or some bubbles drawn on them.

    In terms of motorisations, we will have a 1.6l 75 and 95hp I4, 1.8l 110 and 120 hp and 2.0 160 hp for petrol, and 1.6l 85hp, 1.9l 90 /110 hp plus 2.2l 130/150 hp I4 diesels.

A naughty "sport" version could be cool, with the 2.0 petrol and the 2.2 diesel engine, with a sport exhaust, chrome rims, a specific interior with black and red leather and a bodykit.

On the opposite hand, an off-road version would be funny. Only available with diesel, it would feature new bumpers with lights on the front one, and the rear license plate on the rear one, because the tailgate will have a spare tire. It will also feature roof racks, optional step sides, higher suspension and a quite… ridiculous ? original ? plastic bodykit, which will result in a two tone colour.

There will be two facelifts : one in 2004, which will bring new lights with transparent blinkers, a new grille and new hydraulic shock absorbers. The second one will occur in 2008, and will have a new steering wheel and an optional screen for the navigation. The exterior aspect will receive some chrome trim on top trim variants, new taillights and new wheels with 5-lugs hubs. There will be also optional pneumatic suspensions. Then, the 1.9 90hp diesel I4 will be replaced by the 1.6 85hp one.

    beamng1003.jpg Scan11112021113604_001.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-54-55.png

    Cherrier Signature 2018-2024 :

The Cherrier Signature would be a rwd little coupé, with the 1.6 I4 and the 2.0 I4 engines from the Vivace, and the 2.5 I5 in really sporty configurations. Its body would be made of aluminium. In the interior, there would be some coloured pieces of metal, aluminium pedals and some leather. There won't be any digital gauges, but classic looking ones. Also, a bad looking little screen. Race configurations would feature pretty nice liveries.

    Scan11112021105531_008.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-55-41.png

    Soliad Panamericana 1937-1940 :

The Soliad Panamericana will be a really luxurious pre-war american car. It will be oversized and difficult to drive on italian roads for example. We’ll have three engines : a 6.0l V8 engine with 120hp, a 7.5l V12 engine with 160hp, and a 9.0l V16 Engine with 200hp. These engines will sound incredibly good. There will also be a convertible variant. Sport variants will be supercharged. A nice detail would be to have six exhaust exits on the V12, and eight on the V16 !

    upload_2021-11-11_11-56-4.png

    Cherrier Extrême 2013-2030 :

The Cherrier Extrême will be an euro semi truck, with a 11.0l I6 Engine with 350, 430 and 500 horsepower, and a 13.5l I6 with 480, 550 and 610 horsepower. A 500hp electric motor will also be available. There will be a lot of variants, with an upfit, four or six wheels, a sleeper behind the cabin, two heights,... A facelift will occur in 2020 with optional camera mirrors, an improved interior, and a more modern looking front fascia.

    PS :

The name of this one is a pun, because one of my favourite french semi (and maybe the only one in the past twenty years…) is the Renault Magnum. And in France, when you say "un Magnum", except when you're speaking about trucks, guns, or tv shows, for most people, it's an Ice cream ! And another known ice cream there is called "Extrême" !

    upload_2021-9-1_18-9-55.jpeg

    ETK Gleisero 2016-2028 :

The ETK Gleisero will be an European coach, available in four lengths, and with four, or six wheels. There will be a 8.0 I6 diesel engine with 380 and 450hp, and a 11.5 I6 diesel engine with 450 and 600hp. This vehicle will be available in a low cost trim, a mid trim, and a top trim. We can imagine a double-decker option.

    upload_2021-11-11_11-56-41.png

    Civetta Missile 2021-2027 :

The Civetta Missile will be a modern Italian supercar, with an aluminium body, and some carbon fiber parts. Like the Bolide, it will be rwd. It will be really aerodynamic and well designed. In terms of motorisations, there will be a 3.0 plug-in hybrid V6 with 400hp, a 5.0 Biturbo V8 with 600 and 700 hp, a 6.5 NA V12 of 800hp and a 7.2 NA V10 of 900hp. Sadly, no manual transmission will be available, except with aftermarket. We can imagine of course some racing variants, but also maybe a crazy dirt rally variant !

    upload_2021-11-11_11-56-59.png

    Ibishu Covet 2021-2029 :

This small hatchback will have some serious retro design vibes from the 80" Covet. It will have a black plastic rear fascia, a quite angular interior, and a lot of skins for the different sport versions.

There will be a 1.0 NA I3 with 100 and 120 hp. The ZXi will have a 1.5 NA I4 which will make 160hp, and the naughty GTZ will receive a 250 hp 2.0 I4, and the power will grow up to 265 hp with the "GTZ Edition", with a special livery and a custom exhaust. These engines will be heavily customizable, with crazy available power at the end.

For diesel, a single 1.6 100hp engine will be proposed.

There will also be 115hp and 140hp electric engine options, and a 1.6l 120hp I4 hybrid engine.

    Covetandsemi001.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-57-19.png

    Gavril Roamer 2020-2027 :

The 2020 Gavril Roamer will be a full size American SUV. Its design won't be too modified, except the new front fascia. The interior will be really modern and luxurious, with digital gauges and a huge screen. The seats will be really comfortable and there will be optional screens for the rear passengers.

    In terms of motorisations, we'll have a 3.0 I6 turbodiesel with 280hp, a 3.5 V6 with 300hp, plus a plug-in hybrid variant with 350hp, a 4.7 V8 with 420 hp and a 6.4 V8 with 600hp.

    beamng1002.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-57-36.png

    Cherrier Vivace 1974-1986 :

The 1974 Cherrier Vivace is a little Hatchback, a bit bigger than the Renault 5, more looking like a VW Golf mk1. The design will be really classic with quite a lot of chrome, double headlights (with yellow option), and wheels at every angle of the car, which will provide a kart-similar driving experience. The rear fenders will have an aerodynamically designed part to hide the rear wheels on top trims. In 1979, a facelift will modernize the car design, with single front headlights, new wheels, new rectangular mirrors, a typically eighties looking lettering and new bumpers.

    The available carbureted engines will be a 1.0 I4 with 50hp and 60hp and a 1.5 I4 with 75hp.

    For the injection, we’ll have a 1.2 I4 with 75hp, a 1.5 I4 with 80hp and a 1.6 I4 with 87hp.

The diesel will come only for the facelifted version, with a N/A 1.7 I4 with 50 and 70 hp, and a 1.9 I4 with 85hp.

Then, we’ll have sports variants, and there’s a lot to talk about !

First of all, let’s go for “classic” sport configurations. The SI variant will have a 1.9 I4 injection engine with 110 hp. The STD will have a 102hp 1.9 I4 Turbo diesel engine.

Then, there will be a TURBO variant, with a 1.5 I4 Turbo engine making 160hp. The main difference will be in terms of design, because the car will be mid engined, with only two seats and RWD. The rear fenders will be way larger than the standard car. It was used in Group 4. A sleeper variant will also be available with FWD and a classic body. Then, in 1984, a Group B variant was created, with a 2.1l I5 Turbo Engine with 590 hp and AWD. 200 civil cars were sold, with a lower power (~ 230 hp) and the exterior design of the TURBO variant, but larger front fenders. Nowadays, they become really expensive because they’re really rare !

    Scan11112021105531_014.jpg Scan11112021105531_015.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-58-6.png

    Dalton Type - 45 1957-1966 :

The Dalton Type - 45 will be the pinnacle of English luxury in the 50”. That coupé will be powered by three engines : a 3.1l I6 with 220hp, a 4.9l V8 with 275hp and a 6.2l V12 making 315hp.

This car will be declined into three bodies : a coupé, a convertible and a pretty rare shooting break.

The design is quite inspired by the Jaguar Type E, Aston Martin DB4 / DB5 and by the Mercedes 300 sl (look at the fenders), and would be really nice, with the pretty long hood.

The interior will be luxurious as well, with a ton of wood and leather.

We can also imagine some kind of race variants, and maybe a unique hearse config, to have a pleasant last ride. Furthermore, a “secret agent” configuration would be amazing with some gadgets like in James Bond cars, in order to flee the villains with the English chic.

Nowadays, this car would be really expensive, because of its look and of the pop culture. Dalton could make a 2018 improved replicas, with some improvements, and maybe with an electric motor.

    Scan11112021105531_005.jpg upload_2021-11-11_11-58-23.png

    Tundra B9 2003-2013 :

The Tundra B9 will be the stereotypical Swedish car from the 00s :

It will be quite big, with a 4.90m length and a 1.85m width.

Its design will be quite simple and will age quite well. The interior will be available with beige leather seats and wood inserts. Safety will be really important, and the car will have a lot of tech to help its passengers survive an eventual crash.

There will be two facelifts :

The first facelift will occur in 2007, and will bring a new front fascia, new wheels and trim, new taillights, a new steering wheel and a screen.

The second one will happen in 2010, and will change a lot of stuff ! Quite every body panel will be different as the previous facelift. Taillights won't be vertical anymore, but horizontal. The windshield will be higher to have a more luminous interior. That interior will also be redesigned. The front fascia will receive some improvements, but the global car's design and philosophy won't change.

    In terms of motorisations, we'll have for petrol : a 1.7 Turbo I4 with 140hp, a 2.5 Turbo I5 with 200, 240 and 275hp, replaced by a 2.0 turbo I4 with 190, 250 and 280hp in 2010, a 3.2l NA 300hp V6 for the 2003-2006 prefacelift, replaced by a 3.0 Turbo 310hp I6 in 2007. Top trims and sport trims will have a 5.0 NA 400hp V8 before 2010. For diesel, we'll have a 2.2 I4 with 150hp, a 2.6 I5 with 190,220 and 260hp, replaced by the 2.2 I4 in 2010, with 180, 215 and 275hp and a 3.0 V6 with 310hp. We could have a fender exit for the exhaust, for crazy diesel swedish builds.

Sedan and wagon bodies will be available.

While I strongly agree with your suggestions on the content side of things, I would like to add some physics problems I personally see with the game:

mainly being tire physics improvements. I'm sure there's some more and I'm also sure the devs are currently cookin something up, but tire temps, tire wear and such would be a nice addition as well as a few more tire variants and rim variants.

race tires are unbelievably grippy when on low pressure which doesn't make much sense to me. sports tires are, as of now, the only tires that feel somewhat natural to me (although I don't have any experience with these huge offroad tires, mind you).

Most of this are really good ideas, but basically everything in the misc section can't be made due to game limitations. Too many body kits isn't the best idea, they need a lot of modelling work, separate textures and materials, etc. Different police and taxi stuff is not a thing for a reason, it's just extremely messy to work on stuff like this, so they just made a few universal models for it and reuse them, and it's already really messy like this. Improved mirrors, smoke and fire can't happen, if they could then they would already be a thing. Dirt and scratches is literally years of work to implement. Simplified interiors would make zero difference practically. All the rest of this is just a waste of resources and not worth implementing.
But the ideas for remasters and new cars are mostly really good, with some exceptions that make no sense. I really like the idea with the vans, it's such a common thing in real life actually.

I agree that too much lightbars aren't a priority, and taxi signs also, but for example, the light bar on the 800 series is only in german, (Halt Polizei) and I think that we at least need an engish variant ; I'm not a game developper but I think that this isn't too much work. And I imagine that they aren't too hard to make so it would add diversity, but I guess that everybody here prefers to see devs working on a new map/car than on little details like this.
For the widebodies, I realize that this is a ton of work, but this could be a usefull thing, and of course, I know that it won't be made in one day (if devs want to do that). I think that we need at least one or two bodykits or aftermarker fender flares for example.
For the Mirrors, smoke and fire, I don't know if it's possible to make, I think that yes, but it's just actually things that I found quite bad (or not as the same greatness than other details in the game :p) since a long time ago.
Dirt and scratches are really hard to do I guess, but a lot of people want them, and I didn't saw a post from one dev that says "No we won't do that for the moment", as there's for example for airbags (and that's why I didn't speak about that ;))
And finally, I just saw a post that proposed simplified interiors for traffic cars, but I don't know if it's a good idea ; it just seemed to be one in my opinion.

Anyway, thanks for the review ! I really liked this objective answer !

I also think that this is a good idea, and I heard of something being "cooked" as you said. I don't really realize how much strange are the tires ingame, because I don't really drive a lot of different cars with different tires IRL and I don't play too much other videogames where we could change the tires, but some youtuber said that when it will be implemented, it will really change the game :D

That's great, but i don't see why the body should be separate from the frame on the 200bx, i think it make sense for it to be a unibody.

For me it also makes sense to be a unibody, but I looked under the car and thought that it was a frame chassis. I looked again and... I don't know... My knowledge about cars is quite big than the common of mortals, but here is its limits ! :p

If it was a ladder frame there would be multiple beams joining the two main beams (hence the name), here it's probably just sort of support structure for the suspension.

This is just a common thing on unibody cars. Those rails that run the length of the car are folded 'U' sections which add some strength for very little additional weight.

Edit: This is a cool thread by the way. Some real imagination, and those drawings you made to demonstrate your ideas must have taken some effort.

Also, as long as the license plate style is "none" in the config, it already changes the license plate wether you're at the ETK driver experience center (germany) or in Utah.

    Yes I know about that

But I was talking about sizes..
For exemple, Cherrier Vivace will come with EU sized license plates even if you spawn it in Utah, and if you spawn a Gavril Grand Marshall in Germany, it will still have a US sized license plate...

Ah, but then that probably means they would need to remodel the bumpers to accomodate those different sizes, which could also mean that they need to rework the jbeam, so there could be quite some work needed.

That can sometimes happen if a car is imported into a country that has different shaped plates. The recesses that hold the plates don't always hold the standard size, so most of the time you have to run a special sized plate instead.

Nearly all European cars have long rectangular plates, but if you import a car from the US or Japan for example, their plates are taller and narrower, so won't fit into the plate recess on many EUDM cars. In the UK at least, we have a special size that's designed for this purpose, a UK compliant plate (so yellow reflective plastic in the rear, white in the front, with the correct typeface and spacing), but in import size.

I think Beam implies that any car you drive that isn't native to the country you're driving it in would be considered an import. I think a really neat feature would be to have slight variations in some models that the game lore states were sold worldwide. So if the Covet for example was a car sold in different markets, then it could have different plate recesses, lights, fat bumpers if loaded into a US map, that match the country you're playing in.
    --- Post updated ---
I don't think it would take that much work. Plates generally come in two sizes, long and thin (Europe, UK, Australia etc), and short and fat (North America, Japan etc). I don't think that the JBeam is all that detailed concerning the bumpers or tailgates anyway... this is more of a model mesh thing.

    For the Editor...
My personal request that I would love is simple. Hot keys to grab the handlebars in the editor to move/rotate/scale. We can hit 1,2,3 but would love if they added X,Y,Z like Blender has. Blender is G,S,R for move, scale, rotate, one can also pick X,Y,Z after each one. I hand plant a lot of objects, would make life easier.

IMO the amount of car and content suggestions is wayy overkill, I get that these suggestions are intended for basically the rest of the lifespan of the game but i think the game needs less of a focus on content and more on physics and polish. The game just doesn't have that high budget feel, and feels like it's running on an over 10 year old engine. I mean just take a look at the UI: it runs at around 20 FPS and takes like 1 second to respond even on a Nasa computer .

What I'm tryina say is that the game has enough content to keep the game alive and fun, aspecially with BeamNG's modding community. Instead I think that the devs should focus on what mods can't do. Things like particle effects that interact realistically with the environment (you did mention this one) are a good suggestion, and for the people that say it's impossible you're wrong. Take a look at Teardown (another physics focused game), it has super realistic smoke physics that where developed by practically a single person. You could argue that these sort of next gen physics would be held back by the engines capibilities, but you could also argue that realtime soft body physics would never be possible on such an engine and yet here we are. Im sure features like scratches and realistic particles are possible and could be developed if there was enough of a focus on them.

The thing is that graphics engines and physics engines are two completely different things, they made the physics engine themselves FOR the soft-body physics, while the graphics engine is based off Torque3D which is very old. Although they said there is practically no code left untouched from Torque3D, it is still based off a kinda old graphics engine, AND they also have a lot of things to do like carrieer mode before doing things like that.

My only objection is that your cars list has only 2010s+ cars and nothing else from any other time period. I agree, we could use a couple more new cars, but there’s also other periods of time that need more as well.

I tried added a lot of quite modern vehicles, because they are what we see the most on the roads.
I think that we have enough 80s cars in the game, and I filled the lack for an 30s car.
The only periods on which we need more car could be the 50s, and an early car for the 1900-1910, but I don't think that it will be fun to drive.

The game needs some other stuff also, and I agree with that.

It's also important to take into consideration that game development isn't a single-threaded process. That is to say that the company releasing new cars doesn't mean that they're neglecting core functionality. Unless they're taking headcount away from core development and assigning it to vehicle dev, which I'm pretty sure they're not doing - specific skillsets are required on both sides that may not be immediately transferrable, we can rest easy that the game isn't stagnating. We can have both.
