honestly what you've got currently could have promise but it sounds really like a bunch of silverware being chopped up inside a blender. As Zoll said, they have a really hard edge to them, especially when bouncing on redline.

If you want to emulate a higher revving V6, i suggest taking a look a engine sounds from the Honda J-series and the Mitsubishi FTO GPvR
or maybe perhaps a Busso, or the Taurus SHO 3.0L for something aggressive but not screaming. the GM 3800 V6 is another great V6 to take inspiration from as its very standard and they are literally everywhere in the US. Just some suggestions.
