I'd agree to it being American, but there are some (very) large German sedans as well. Chances are it's either a Gavril or an ETK, but I'm leaning more towards Gavril. My timeline sees it as a Marshal instead of a Bluebuck, tbh. Hell, it could be a completely new manufacturer for all we know. There are still a couple of names from the old days they've not used yet. I could almost be convinced this thing is British. Something akin to a Jag XF.
Honestly surprised that nobody else has commented on the Burnout Paradise reference. The Krieger 616 has similar body lines and stance to the car in this preview, although a little outdated.
IDK i think lines in the Krieger are a bit too smooth and flowing, i'd say the Hunter Civilian is closer
I personally don't see any resemblance to it --- Post updated --- In my opinion the hunter civilian looks much closer to it
Tbh. I'm not at all interested. I never got to enjoy Burnout Paradise due to it bluescreening my old computer and I was not a fan of locking content that EA is famous for. So Burnout Paradise has left a very sour taste for me and that just keeps me more disappointed then anything. OT: Looks like a mix of the SBR4 and ETK 800 so it's probably a Brukell.
OH woah am gonna call it a LHD Aussie Sedan. LOL But woah The devs been spoiling us with some cars lately since mid 2019. I remember The Gavril MV4 witch to me looked kinda French and/or German IMO back was E class Front Peugeot ish. ANYWAY am not here to say bring the MV4 back that Thing will need a massive remaster. SO its just best to make a all new car. Hell even The OG pre reworked Beam cars of 2013 where better then latter RORS stuff. ( Nostalgia on gabes Basic but hell Fun Honda in 2010/11 ) SO what if this is a Gavril MV5 the replacement for mv4. OR a new Burnside.? I see hints of them both in it. More the MV4... Anyway new car AWESOME and its NOT a Suv thank god. ( even if it was a SUV i will be happy ) But sedan/coupes where it at IMO ( Got IRL W211 sedan And a W208 ( first coupe )
ROR content might be interesting! Love that old thumbnail with the stretched outlined text saying S e d a n
I would say the new car is probably nearly complete, if you look at the windows you can just barely make out headrests and a rear view mirror. We'll see this winter! Also note the text of the teaser tweet: a stereotypical American song with drag strip light trees. Muscle car.
maybe this is a cope but the the line "Where the lights are green and the cars are pretty" made me immediately think of the working traffic lights on ecusa. maybe they're coming to other maps?
Just my 2c, but it could be possible that this vehicle is under a new, foreign brand that's meant to add a GM/Stellantis type company to the game, where it is a vehicle sold and marketed in one market under one brand, and in another market it is sold as a different vehicle, ex. the Holden Commodore/Buick Regal. It could also come in under 2 brands, where it has a Gavril/Bruckell marketed version for USDM buyers, and then maybe a new brand marketed for EUDM buyers. Considering how it features design cues from both American vehicles and European vehicles, it would somewhat make sense, though it isn't a full explanation. Plus, I know it isn't exactly "just change up this and that smh", but considering how the cars wouldn't have to entirely be changed, it's plausible. This is probably unlikely as it's quite an outlandish idea, but considering the estimation by the devs for the next update, it isn't entirely impossible.
November isn't that far away actually. Also, if the new car doesn't get a police package I will be sad
Thank you! That's why I was curious- the map itself looked as though it had reflections and was using PBR textures, but i wasn't sure if it was just a good render
I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a new Barstow, just like the Charger became a sedan (better than a FWD Hatchback, to be honest). And why not multiple body styles, just like the Bluebuck?
I never had that in my head untill now. Woah i hope you are right on this. It does look kinda dodge. And i will love a Ute version. And/or wagon
On the teaser, some people might know that the GM is pretty much a mix of Chevrolet Caprice and Ford Crown Victoria. In the GM's era, those two were the police and fleet cars made by America, produced for the world. Many think that in the teaser, the grille looks like that of an Aston Martin, and with the haunches of a Charger, and lights of a Volvo. Now it just so happens that an American company bought Aston to take that famous grille and use that shape on some of their cars. This was Ford, who brought that grille most recognizably to the Ford Fusion (Mondeo), which also has those skinny lights. (and Ford did at one point also own Volvo, although this is only tangentially related) The Ford Fusion (Mondeo) and Dodge Charger happen to currently be the police and fleet cars made by America, produced for the world. To conclude, I think it will be a modern American full size semi-sports sedan (probably under the Gavril nameplate) to succeed the GM.
Well, in th 70's both the Charger and the Challenger were coupés. If the new car come with a coupe variant, itt would be a good revival of the Barstow name. Maybe even only as a sedan would still be fitting.
