Thiisss, is a big red box. For all the newbies on the forums, this probably means "meh, whatever, imma reply anyway" not realizing that the last message sent was well over 2 or more years ago. Yes, I've seen people reply to messages from 2016. To the forum moderators, it would be a good idea ,in my opinion, to just either lock the older threads, or, Make the reply box unusable until or unless that big red box is ticked. For eg: I should NOT be able to do this unless the red box is ticked.. which means, hopefully, the person has read the red box (of doom ) This would probably reduce (hopefully) the number of older threads that are bumped by new members of the forum, and would also probably keep the chaos a bit low.. Thanks for reading this massive (i think) text wall. Cheers, SKB
from what i've seen more recently, the problem seems to come less from people bumping inactive threads, and moreso replying to really old posts on active threads.
I think that it should just automatically lock a thread that hasn't been replied to after 6 months or something like that. IMO that seems like the easiest way to prevent people from bumping threads. But, I know the forum software is decently old and idk if they can't implement somthing like that.
