I have been working on hotfix 3 for a while now and have finally completed it.

    New Stuff:

A variable boost supercharger. (Thank you Switchpro for helping me with this.)

7AGE engine, transmission, sounds and torque curve that are accurate to the real engine. (Once again, thank you Switchpro for the help.)

The 7AGE engine itself was never produced but tuners put the 4AGE head onto the 7AFE block to create the 7AGE engine. The head limited the rev range to around 8krpm but the block increased engine torque by a large amount. The current tune of the engine has a maximum torque at 4200 rpm and max hp of just above 200 at 7200 rpm. The most I can increase the hp to and still keep the correct maximum torque value is between 205 and 210 hp because the torque curve is so flat. The engine is primarily based off of Keichii Tsuchiya's 7AGE, which some sources say has as high as 215 hp but I could never replicate it at the correct rpm.

    Changed Stuff:

Sounds for the 16V and 20V engines. (The 16V sounds are airy and fit a less powerful engine, while the 20V sounds are very gravely. Also note that these sounds are not supposed to be very realistic.)

Torque curve for the Silvertop engine that more closely resembles the one seen in the Second stage of Initial D. It now has about 240hp at 10k rpm with a redline of 11k. (Nothing new in terms of fixing the sport intake :<.)

The painted front lip and race seats are now always black. (Sorry to anyone who liked the red seats and to those who used the front lip.)

    Planned Stuff:

New rpm gauge that is based off of the Smith's 12k tachometer.

    Variable boost centrifugal supercharger.

I do not know how to do pbr stuff or really anything with blender but I am open to any suggestions that people may have.

Please note that these fixes are primarily made for myself but I will make special versions if I can do what you want quickly, such as putting the hotfix 2 16V sounds on the current hotfix's 16V engine.

The map in the video is Gunsai Touge (private :<) and the video itself is inspired by Hot Version/Best Motoring. The song is the Hot Version intro or "Set Me Free Again" by Richard Cottle.

And tweaked suspension in general, no offense to any people working on this mod but this doesn't really handle quite as well as it probably should yet.

Neither Dingo nor I know much about how suspension jbeams work, but I sure want to fix the live rear axle problem and the weight issue. If anyone knows how those work then I'd be very grateful!

You'd have to talk to schumacher about that... he still lurks around here. I recall him making a live axle suspension for this not too long ago, I'd expect it to still work. But judging by it's unreleased state, I'd expect there to still be some bugs to iron out.

Proper weight reduction in this game requires a lot of calculations to work, you need to also know the weight distribution of the original to know what is too heavy, I would maybe be able to help if I had some technical data of the real thing, but definitely I wouldn't be able to improve the suspension because I'm still not too good at it

I think fixing the rear suspension would have to come first before fixing the weight because that would defiantly change the weight. The current 86 has a weight distribution of about 52:48 front:rear. The irl 86 has a distribution of 53:47. The difference here is negligible and the error may be due to me reading the wrong number because it kept changing, but I wouldn't worry about it. It weighed around 1150kg last time I checked and the hatch should weigh about 970kg while the coupe should weigh around 950kg. The part that I think weighs the wrong amount is the body itself.

I found this with a quick google search and it may help. A lot of the numbers are estimates but it doesn't need to be accurate to the last kg. Only the weight distribution and center of gravity really matter.

I wish there was a list like this for every car... This helps so much even if it's just estimates!
So the F/R weight distribution is almost spot on, maybe with new suspension it will be closer, so basically first thing to do would be lightening the car as a whole to proper weight (of course it includes redoing all of the Jbeam values, also we can assume that some aftermarket parts based on vanilla cars have correct weight already so they won't be changed), then checking with that list if everything is about accurate and adjusting if not. Unless of course currently some critical parts like engine, gearbox or fuel tank are already way off, then it would be more effort to fix it...
Also it's really cool to have all flywheel weights given like this, if you know the flywheel diameter you can estimate the inertia with it too and it can be a very accurate estimation actually. And also really cool that this list includes some aftermarket lightened parts, they could go in the mod!

Just wanted to thank you for this mod as u have captured quite closely the feel of these irl, i had one for a while and i miss it dearly, ae my 2nd fav car of all cars in history (it was stolen by someone who became my "friend" to infiltrate im guessing... my tire in pic also was the first set i had on it (stock other than stage 1 intake, welded diff *i wanted an lsd* aftermarket anti roll bar in front, watanabe wheels and similar exaust to initial D (the kid that stole it did before he sold it to me)

ANyway, you indeed managed to cap how it handles quite closely, slip or grip on demand the real thing has depending on driver skill and can do same with ur awesome (THANK YOU AGAIN) mod. P.S i miss driving one everyday something fierce.

P.S also, thank you for paying close attention to the sound it produces.
