same as the F1, there is allready a piccolina Cherry some where on the repository. but it's a good one to pick^^
that's something i want to see too? i don't know if i talked about that here or if it's just something i've kept to my self, bit i plan some competitive/ sports models. some would be comercial (like the Arsenic vivace or the fiat 500 abart) and some would be competition exclusive model, like a hill climbing or a cup or a rally variant. edit, also the 2010's picolina will be powered by the same engine as the vivace.
i've made so sketches. quite lot, i might share soon sorry there is no much news there, i'm kept quite busy, and i'm affraid this project comes last when it comes to priorisation.
i've starded fidleling around in sketchup and got that... I'm pleased with the results so i'll move to blender now and see if i can work with that. this is my first shot a t 3d modeling the neo piccolina. it's quite low polly for now but it gives a nice idea of the shape and style i'm looking for.
I think it would be nice if the windshield was raked a tiny bit more sharply, but other than that this is a superb design and it's really convincing. I wouldn't bat an eye if I saw this driving down the street. Incredible work- you're very talented.
this is exactly what comes to my mind when i think 2010s piccolina, a mix of the new beetle and the fiat 500, and front engined, since both of them switched to the front engine layout unlike their predecessors.. Looking forward to this
Thx for all your comments^^ the newbeetle/500 cross over is intentionnal, it's what i think the "classic" piccolina is suposed to be. I'm also hopping it catches the piccolina's look by keeping the quadruples optics on the front and rear, the fenders shapes and the general silouette. i'm also thinking about making a patern on the boot that calls back to the original's declid's vents. to also give an idea of it's size, it's like the classic piccolina. right in betwin a fiat 500 and a VWbeetle. about the size of a current Mini one. witch makes the 2010 piccolina one of the biggest in the segment i'm shooting for: the little city cars. It will have it's Cherry engine in the front of course, for now i'm thinking front wheel drive, but i'm also concidering RWD as standard. my objective is to make a fun car to drive around the city, good cornering, karting feeling, not to heavy and with enougth potential for modifications that it can compet in rally stages and be good. I've seen someone not liking the panoramic Wind shield, wich i do really like personnaly, and since i will make a fabric top variant, should i also make a full metal roof optional? it's a bit of a quirky design features. i feel manufacturers these days likes to have thoses and that they are always controversial for the general public. so if that panoramic roof divides, i guess i've made a good job. spot the diffrences X) 'im working ot the openable parts and detachable parts
Front engine FWD would definitely be the lightest, and if you toss it around right, it'll be just as fun as rwd.
