There is still more pbr work to be done iirc and I could see that eating up development resources too.

 

If anything, Vulkan API integration would probably eat up more development resources, seeing how unstable it is currently.

Yes, that's exactly what I mean. SAAB was a specialist in the aerospace design!
And by saying the "two major Swedish car companies" I mean Volvo and SAAB because these are the volume Swedish brands everyone knows, it's just that we mustn't straight up say "hey Devs, make us a Volvo or a SAAB"!
Both companies are owned by the Chinese (Volvo by Geely, SAAB by NEVS) but only Volvo is successful. SAAB, on the other hand, has been in obscurity for the last decade or so...

the track in that teaser screenshot isn't PBR. my hopes aren't very high for having everything PBR yet, unless they just don't wanna show it off yet.

 

Do you think there would be any new map remasters or map additions (the new garages and car dealers from the wendover update come to mind) in this coming update?

 

Maybe the ETK driver center, but if they want to make it bigger with more stuff, it's not probably coming this update.
But I do think that a cliff remaster is possible, because that's an underrated map, and they can quite easily improve it by adding some ramps, roads....
They may add some new car dealers/garages, because why not after all, but we could have maybe some new buildings of companies, like in ETS2 for example, for new truck scenarios (I don't have any proofs here this is pure speculation)

 

We also need the garage to garage delivery scenario in other maps, Italy gets a bit repetitive after a while

 

Well, I mean, it is our first taste of Career Mode, really, so we will probably get the other maps version of it when Career Mode comes out.

 

A lot of these scenarios are definitely little teasers or at least just "testing the waters" by the devs of what we enjoy and end up seeing in career mode.
On that topic, a taxi mode would probably not be so hard to implement either considering it could just be a mix of the bus scenario and garage to garage but only using taxi vehicles and treating the checkpoints as drop off points

 

Ads much as i LOVE a TeaserTuesday. Like you dont know ( crappy week so i can use a pick me up ;P )

I dont think it will be this week. Due to i think its a one off ( week ) and one week on.

And they want to keep us in hype.

In saying that they have to Give us some Info of the new car. ( sooner or later )

what it looks like. What its name and/or branding is.

Maybe they will post a mini blog. Or a full on blog like the vivace did.

Also maybe they will tease us with just another photo of the new car. WITHOUT anymore info ( maybe say.. The new I.E Ibishu grastline coming soon ( its a made up name )

Or something else they may be working on. Who knows.

 

Yup, they seems to have now a rythm of one teaser every 2 weeks, but maybe as we are going closer to the update, they'll accelerate the teaser with putting one every week.
Anyway, we'll know this evening if they's a teaser or not, but in my opinion, we are not close enough to the release to have one teaser per week

 

Maybe, usually once the next update enters the content freeze stage we'll probably get more teasers.

He's probably talking about the 2 most recent teasers, the one of the new car and the other of the revamped Pessimas!

Usually the update is in December - why would it be any earlier this time? We've had teasers in October that ended up being part of a December release before.

 

They skipped the August/September update this year and TDev mentioned mid-November is the earliest we may see the next update. So the winter update may be a couple weeks early this year.
