So do I. And I say this because we saw that the Pigeon/Wigeon duo had some imperfections (no 5-Speed Manual Shifter for the Pigeon, some non-working warning lights and analogue counters on the gauge cluster of the Wigeon) that need to be corrected. Quality testing needs time.
I don't think so because they post their teaser ~30 min earlier than now, but if we have one next week, that would confirm the "one week yes / one week no" pattern
the teasers make me so hype… before they posted the first teaser i wasnt even thinking about the update before they shown the first teaser lol
I don't think devs want to create any patterns. So, people don't expect them to release an update/teaser on a certain date or day, because that could be stressful to set up a date and try to make everything on time as there can be an unexpected delays along the project.
Maybe yes... Maybe not... The term "confirm" that I used is maybe a bit too much, but even if they make a teaser one week on two, they'll never say that they have a "pattern", and if they's a problem (and the update date is moving away) , they probably can stop making teasers for one week (or more) if they don't want to tease the new update too much. Btw, one Dev (sorry I don't remember who is was) said months ago that the update will be in the earlier case in mid-November, and quite a lot of us (me included) think that it could be released then (And they start to tease us now). If Devs had a really big problem ,idk, and the update in their schedule is planned on, let's say, December, they probably won't let us speculate about something that has changed for them. For example, we were speculating about the Bolide remaster, and a Moderator said "No guys, you'll have to wait", because they saw that we weren't on the good path Anyway, if we have a teaser next week, it's probably because they want to make some kind of pattern, but it's not really a problem if it's finally too stressful for them and they want to stop
It was tdev: https://www.beamng.com/threads/update-speculation-thread.20246/page-1641#post-1348064 the main guy.
I wonder if we'll see the Hopper's I6 offered as an engine option in the 200BX or Pessima, sort of like an Ibishu equivalent to the Nissan RB engines. After all, the RB20 appeared in the C32 Nissan Laurel, and the RB30 appeared in the Nissan Patrol. I'll admit the 4.0 displacement is a little big (Maybe we'd see a ~2.4 I6 based off of the 4.0?), and the engine would probably have to get a light remaster first. I don't think, however, it would be too unreasonable to offer the I6 as a factory engine option for the '88 Pessima and the 200BX- maybe we could see it as a swap for the '96 Pessima. If we put this in the context of Career mode, however, it begins to make even more sense. If the player wants to make more power without spending a ton of money, or has outgrown the I4, I could definitely see an I6 as an option. Imagine finding a wrecked Pessima or 200BX in some junkyard with an I6 in place of the ususal I4- that would be a really cool moment. As for parts, since the smaller I6 would probably be relatively rare compared to the 4.0 Hopper I6, I think it would make sense (and not be completely unrealistic) if some heavy-duty and performance parts could be cross-compatible. I'd imagine you could build a decently powerful little car for not much money with a wrecked Hopper, a 200BX I6, and an '88 Pessima with the 1.8 torn out. That would be a lot of fun
That's a pretty good idea... but i don't think the FR layout suits the Pessima, the 200BX on the other hand would work nicely with a straight 6; going from 4 to 2.4 liter feels a long way to go though, making it 3 liter like the 2JZ sounds more reasonable to me
I think the most realistic size difference for a 4.0 I6 in the Hopper could be like a 3.2 to a 4.0 or some kind of range like that. That would certainly be an interesting swap. If we swapped the Hopper 2.5 in as well it could be a similar idea to the 180sx and 240sx with which the 240 had more of a truck motor than a sports motor.
That does provide some interesting ideas. It would be interesting if someone offered a face lifted Hopper with single or double OHC engine updates for the Hopper motors. That would make a 200BX swap more legit in a factory spec kind of way.
