No, I could make it break. Sounds like a great idea. Only problem is the way it animates is physical swapping of the frames. Each frame is a flat plains that swaps location going behind the others in turn to make the flip book basically. I don't know there is a way to make a mod use the animation from blender. I animated the head of crash hard in blender and resaved the dae and in the game it did not move. Since game uses real physics on mods I can see how animating something would not be compatible. It works on static meshes cause they use no physics. That is my take on it from what I seen. Could be missing something though. I don't know LUA programming, who knows what is possible with that. Animate textures will work on mods, and there is a sequenced image tab in the material editor but never got it to work. It is probably possible. I tried exporting video as a sequenced jpgs numbered and using it as textures with no luck so far. I is possible to have a very long film strip up to 16k long move by really fast to simulate though as a texture using scroll animate in material editor. May try that.
Don't bother with overcomplicated stuff, TVs have been done before via HTML and they can be breakable.
Interesting idea though it's pretty...laggy? There is actually a way to make BeamNG play webm videos. Take a look at this Roamer mod: https://www.beamng.com/resources/gavril-roamer-underground.12584/ You can equip the TV by finding the right part in vehicle editor (Ctrl+W). Then swap the default video with yours. Had no success with mp4 but webm worked.
That was what Agent-Y mentioned a while back, using html for a display. Cool, nah I done moved on past this idea. Got bored with it pretty quick.
