Thank you very much for your feedback! This is very interesting information I took note of that for a future improvement
Thank you for the feedback. I do plan to incorporate more advanced functioning to the flaps, but I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to do it. From Assetto Corsa, The flaps also seem to retract at increments and close at a much higher speed. The flaps also do not work entirely based on steering angle, but are a bit more advanced than that. It'll take time to go through AC's data files and get what I need from it (I don't have much experience with the game at that level either).
idk why but it wont show up in the mod manager even tho I have put it in the right place (nvm I found it)
This is a fantastic remake! One issue I've had though - at speeds of 215+mph, if you turn all the way to one side as fast as possible, the front wheel on that side breaks off. This isn't a problem that would happen in normal use, so it's not that big a deal, but it does limit how fast I can make my custom tuned version. Still one of the best mods out there today
I'm unable to make it happen with any of the stock versions, but my tuned version only increases top speed by making the gearing longer / increasing boost pressure. Here's a link to an imgur video of what it does: https://imgur.com/a/XDPGEVX (I'm new to this forum if the link doesn't work or I'm not allowed to send them let me know) Like I said, the car acts fine until around 215, and it's usually fine until 230, but at 230+ it breaks the entire axle every time. The front wheels also do that graphical glitch every time they snap off, even in a crash. If there's anything else I can do to help, let me know. I've uploaded a simple configuration that can replicate the problem below. The straightaway in west coast USA is perfect for testing this problem. Thanks!
It seems to be a problem with the Nitrous Oxide System. For now, try removing it completely. (Let me know if it fixes the problem) As was stated previously, the jbeam is a mess, so one small change (like adding the nitrous oxide system to the jbeam) may wreck things. I'll add it as an issue to the GitHub page, but I'm not sure when it'll get fixed. Thanks for the report.
I've done a bit of testing: The NOS doesn't seem to affect it. On gridsmallpure, I used the config I sent in my last message (but with the NOS removed) and got it to 250. The wheel still snapped off, even with NOS removed and on a perfectly level plane.
Even some vanilla cars have wheel breaking problems like this with certain combinations of wheel, offset and steering box. They just don't stretch, something must be wrong with the model that makes it stretch. It's a common issue, idk if I would bother fixing it.
Bringing back some stuff, nothing too big I'm quite busy! v1.3 (10/27/2021) - Attempt to fix fuel tank - Added back BC hood - Added back BC nosecone - Added back BC tailcone - [v1.3.1] Updated race variant
I've just done this (after installing today's update). The assetto variant does not break, but the custom variant I sent still does. I then modded the assetto, and even with NOS it does not break. Even after modding the custom config to have the exact same suspension and wheels as the assetto, the custom config breaks and the assetto doesn't.
Just a suggestion, I noticed there are many special editions of this car, do you plan on making them? The 3d models of these are probably very hard to get or even exist at all.
suggestion : dynamic exhaust that can be toggled with ESC controls like, not loud when in comfort mode, and loud in sport mode
