Well, in Spain going to uni is free, unless you have a ton of money then you obviously have to pay, but for the average family it is free, and they also give you money for transportation and an extra for books or whatever you need. Hospitals are free, if you lose your job you get 80% of your salary for 2 years, etc etc. We're not as poor or live as bad as you see on TV ;) Actually the economy in our family is better now than before the crisis ;)

I did pretty meh in my AS grades. As i expected.
    B,C,D,D
But one of the D's is very weird. It was in music tech, my teacher said my coursework was a B and i was consistently getting B's in the mock exams. The exam board also screwed up giving us mono cd's for our exam, i am kinda at a loss. I have no idea how i got a grade so low, but i got the highest marks in the class... I guess that's something.

    Thanks!

    Re: General discussion chat

Congratulations, when i was younger (like year 9 ish in school) i went to a 4 day event at Durham university. Jaguar Landrover attended and brought a top spec jag and range rover, it was really awesome getting to talk to some of the guys that work for them. We also got to sit in the cars and have a tour of some of the features and ask questions about them (kinda like a suped up dealership pitch in hindsight, but it was awesome). They also revved the engines for us.
Sadly i wasn't (randomly) selected to be part of their 4 day workshop which was based around car safety where people were tasked with creating a car that would protect the occupant (an egg). But instead my workshop was creating r/c scale gliders, which was also pretty awesome so i cant complain. I had quite a bit of fun during the workshops.
The only bad part of it was that i didn't have anyone to talk too apart from the instructors running the workshops, they were awesome but spending your first time away from home with no one to talk too for 70% of the time kinda sucks. Especially when the other person i knew who attended wasn't fond of me (eg they spent the entire time turning everyone against me :/).
If anyone gets the opportunity i would recommend the trip anyway since that's just a personal thing.

Thank you :), yeh pretty relieved, walking into the hall and picking up my brown envelope was probably one of the most stressful experiences of my life. Could feel my heart beating in my mouth.

    Re: General discussion chat

The amount of custom parts I have built up for various vehicles throughout my BeamNG playtime I should really start releasing some :/ Then again, I think most of us are bored of simple engine remap mods. I have enough of them though. Just working on a selection of skoda felicia gearboxes and differentials (they made 3 of each available in a few combinations depending on vehicle) with the volkswagen 1.4 AFH for the covet, mostly because I am considering getting another felicia and *maybe* looking into the 1.4 AFH engine swap (actually the dyno testing for the 1.4 AFH to construct the in game torque curve came from a converted felicia pickup using the 1.3mpi gearbox and diff)

    - - - Updated - - -

If I do release any parts mods I am leaving out the 1.4AFH engine. It achieves about a 15 second 0-60 on the 1.3mpi gearbox (although thats irrelevant as its still in 3rd at this point whereas only the 5th gear changes between the 1.6 and 1.3 gearboxes) and the 4.11:1 diff (standard for the 1.3's again) whereas the stock 1.3mpi felicia has R13 tyres (covet seems to be R11 or 12, tiny wheels actually) and achieves about the same 0.60, an engine swapped car with the 1.3 gearbox and diff again is supposed to be more like 8 seconds and the extra at wheel torque on a covet due to smaller wheel size should get it there ever so slightly quicker too. Not too sure whats up there but it really doesn't play well in game.
The transmissions and diffs I'm keeping though, always nice to have more options.
