I wouldnt be too sure about motion blur, as much as i want it and other things like dirtier/worn things overall, more eye candy and what not, that can just be PS or say added shutter speed on Photo Mode.

    That one is modified too

OT : it would be really nice to have some Beamng merch that we could buy online (I'm like @_Tanco : Beamng, take all my money)

this motion blur and particles looks very interesting. I don't think that the devs would photoshop a picture promoting their game, but the result looks so nice that it almost feel impossible to put in a game, just look at vivace's front wheel, look at how the dirt is thrown out of the tire due to the centrifugal force, it's beautiful ! If they managed to implement a new particle system of that level of detail it would be litterally insane

the devs have photoshopped stuff before (refer to Leroux83's post), but the bluebuck and vivace image looks like it was actually taken in game
it's not obviously edited like the other one

Oh c'mon guys, it's so obviously edited. D-series tires and vivace wheels - added rotational motion blur. Collision - extra particles. Plus extra dust all over, it's especially visible that it's added around vivace front tire - following it's rotation, no game create such advanced physics particles effect.

It looks edited at first glance, and there's no way it's straight from game. Please don't expect it or you'll be disappointed. :)

"no game create such advanced physics particles effect." I've seen one mod in Assetto Corsa capable of that.

While CSP 1.76 is an awesome mod, and smoke looks really beautiful, stays for long time, react to wind etc, it's really not on that level as on image above. Generation is not that smooth, smoke doesn't react to wheel rotation it just spawns already spinning around wheels even if it's handbrake slide and does look the same even when you spin tire in reverse, so it doesn't physically react. It's very good looking and smartly scripted, but nowhere as advanced as some speculated those particles on that image would be. While CSP kind of particles system would be very satisfying in BeamNG, it alone needs a beefy rig to roon smoothly so maybe in future when more people get better PCs, as devs said they want to implement physically based particle effects. But for now I wouldn't expect, especially not on that level. - I'd like to be wrong about it though :)

I imagine the biggest issue right now is the chip shortage so alot of people are gonna be stuck with old hardware for awhile. I do wanna get the PC I use much more RAM and hopefully a better graphics card. I do think the CPU is more than fine for awhile longer (I7 6700k).

As a german i can tell you that this country has almost no interesting landscape and it would be terrible for a map

We can imagine some kind of countryside with a coal mine, a city with some typically german architecture and a big autobahn crossing that stuff (+ the ETK center)

Btw, a map with all these spots would be quite huge, and would need a lot of work..

    Update :

I was just thinking that if devs remastered this map, that would be a nice opportunity to also remaster ETKs, so it will probably not be for the next update.

That's true that you won't have all this stuff on a Beamng sized map, but it was just some things that we could have on a Germany map.

Furthermore, I think that it's better to have a map with some stereotypes than a boring map with a very basic architecture.

I also went to Germany (you basically live there so I would say that you have a better "Germany experience" than me), and what I remember is that you have some kind of flat green contryside near to autobahn, and cities center with a mix between really old houses and quite modern square shaped buildings.

But I agree with you : that would be quite a nonsense to have all these stuff on a relatively small sized map.

Do you mind if i do a quick rant, while we're talking about maps? As Leroux said, maps should be a bit stereotypical, and as an Italian i think they wasted a lot of potential with the Italy map. Instead of the island format which limits the possibilities, they should have made something like a mix of West Coast USA and East Coast USA, with a big coastal city, a highway, a racetrack (or maybe two smaller ones) but also small towns, winding country roads, and most importantly snowy mountains like the Automation Test Track. What they did sure looks like Italy (especially southern) but in a game where they have full control over how to shape the map, i believe they could have made much more out of it.
Rant over, thanks if you read it all
