Is Downloading from 2FastRacing safe?

Are they safe? I don't know if it's safe or not.

Yeah, but somehow the mods are worse. also they stole a mod, add a LS swap and a wheele bar, made it a meshslap, reuploaded it and call it **(REMASTERD)**

 

Speaking of viruses, it is. But the best mods you'll find there, can be found here. Apparently people there are more receptive to meshslaps so, usually, if you find a real life car there, it won't be really good.

So, yes, the site itself is safe, but the mods there are not so good.

 

No viruses, some of it is good. But you're better off going through the discord servers themselves. BDR actually makes some fuckin top notch trophy trucks.

 

i'm pretty sure none of it is worth your time, the only reason they don't upload stuff here is because they don't like being criticised for making low quality garbo.

 

2fast makes pretty awful mods, they're absolutely not worth it. They aren't trying to make anything better too. Here's some examples of just how terrible their stuff is:

The BeamNG "community" wouldnt recommend another site than BeamNG even if they had pure gold to download. They'll say the Meshslaps are worthless due to their poor deformation, while being totally okay with Automation products xD Then they'll say other sites give you viruses although most of them offer direct downloads without any exe's or installers in it. Ever heard of virus checks? takes litterally seconds. If one is stupid enough to download and execute downloaded exe/installers then one propably follows links in spam e-mails and should keep off the internet in general. Then they'll say the meshes are "stolen", like, who tf cares? It's not that anyone attemts to re-sell them or generate profit from them in any way. It's about having fun. 90% of mods regarding every other game use copyrighted assets, its called modding. Get over it. When it comes to complaining about user-mods that are reuploaded on such sites, dont upload them in the first place if you dont want that to happen. Its the internet, something you have zero to none control over, and complaining about it is like purpousely leaving your phone on a bench at the park and get mad if someone took it. The world is a bad place, and being naive about it is your fault not anyone elses.

Their arguments are shallow and on the edge of being fanboyish hypocritical. Do what you want. It's your life.

I agree, but the bad thing is when they straightforward steal other people work WITHOUT crediting them. That's exactly what 2fast and most other websites do.
I have nothing against taking models from games such as forza as long as they are credited and you don't try to make it seem like your own work.

 

Imo let people download what they want, I mean I go to modland and other gloriuos russian websites komrade for bmw mods and if they are stolen, then they're stolen big wah, it was the modders decision to give it to people and not keep it private so they themselves are the only one to blame omfg ITS JUST A GAME get over it.

 

Bruh most of the people on those websites are reuploaders or leakers, they actually earn money from people downloading, and the original creators basically get no credit, even if they mention them, because they don't get any money from their own mods that get reuploaded/leaked.

also firsthand i can say that ghs's post is true, they stole gooooooopen's S2K slapped some badly made drag parts on it and called it "remastered" WITHOUT HIS PERMS
so basically what im tryna say here is that 2fast and especially RR are morons that steal everything and suck all the goodness out of it
moral of the story: RR and 2Fast are stupid
and also remember the Bigeon mod they made? part of that was stolen from a pretty good Pigeon and Wigeon crawler mod and only i noticed it

 

I'm not angry about that, i just want to point out that you still shouldn't download from here because what they are doing is bad and they don't merit any support or downloads.
Also i agree that sometimes people can be a bit "elitist" here sometimes but really they are right.

 

well i mean beamngdrivemods credits the authors but they still reupload
not like i have it at the top of my search bar whenever i search "b" because i look on there every now and again to see something there that i might be desperate enough to download*.....

* i rarely download from there considering the quality and usually uninstall it within a day anyway

 

Then it's alright, still better to download from the original author but not as bad as other sites.
