I would love to see some woops and wash outs like in the Baja 1000 this very much gives me Baja 1000 or even Baja 500 vibes also make the rocking part of the map like the king of the hammer so there be two races in one map
You swapped the images around the wrong way. But I'll probably get the rockless version, definitely kills the framerate every time you look in their general direction. Do you have any plans to do anything else with this map, or just keeping it working?
Thanks. I haven't noticed that before. I will edit it and forward you right after so you can see the performance improvements. By the way, I read all the posts in the thread and I made a list of changes that I will be making. I will keep you posted on how things are going. I fear it will take a while for me to make the changes since I have to learn how to use the tool editor again after the latest update. Lastly, is I ended up not thanking you all for all this amazingly written feedbacks, so just for the record: Big Thanks to all of you
I love this map! I don't know if this has been discussed before but I noticed that the texSize under sunsky is set to 2048, which drops the FPS too much. I always change it to 1024 like in every other map and it adds 30-35 FPS on my computer.
Very cool. I'm kind of curious, are you using base game textures or custom textures? If it's base textures they might update to PBR on their own? If not I can help make some of your textures PBR if you need.
Oh i will def check that out and test thanks. I'm using both base game textures and custom, mostly is base game texture. PBR is on my highest priority to learn for sure. Thank you I appreciate a lot you trying to help with the texture but first I have to understand how it works. Thank you again
The textures themselves aren't that hard to make. Nvidia has a normal map plugin for Photoshop which works pretty well, and there's Materialize for everything else. https://community.foundry.com/discu...ize-free-pbr-texture-generator-from-2d-images
https://www.beamng.com/threads/tutorial-creating-proper-pbr-materials-pt1-pbr-definition.82806/ Can help too
Unfortunately, he kind of just explained his credentials and what PBR is rather than actually creating the materials.
When look up to toward the sky, the FPS drops, when look down to the ground, the FPS restored. May be the skybox needs optimization?

Was the no rocks version updated ? --- Post updated --- Yeah but there is the official tutorial for that, i just thought it might be helpful.
it has been updated again, this is probably one of my favourite torture tests for my self and the car. thanks for still keeping it updated, very cool of you.
I'm getting that black splotchy thing going on with the environment textures. It's the only active mod. Other than that, the new props and sections are cool. The signs next to the big whoops are helpful, and there's some smaller ones around too. The new sections aren't on the nav map though. Also kind of wish there were some general direction signs around so it's easier to follow the actual race path.
