Played it a bit more, the jumps along the highway in the new whoop section are kind of one directional. If you do a reverse course they just pop the back end up and you nose dive into the ground. For some reason I'm exhausted so I haven't gone past the mine section really. The only other suggestion I'd make is looking at Nadeox's Sandy Mountain level. I think he made it PBR, but it looks pretty natural and realistic. The atmospheric fog in yours is too dark a blue and looks a bit odd, and it seems to have a shorter draw distance than the mountains, which is super weird, and Nadeox's map doesn't have the problem. They're also the same size map.

What? I'm still hesitating about downloading this latest version. It has no rocks, or this issue
    , or neither?

He will surely update the no rocks version soon. I don't know how the rocks are made, i can't look into the world editor because it makes my pc crash because of lack of ram, this is only a supposition.

I didn't try to run in reverse not gonna lie, I can make other way that people can go around the whoops. Wow that map by Nadeox1 looks super legit i wish a had 1% of his knowledge pull something like that off, yeah i noticed the backdrop popping in and out from the distance, i will try to do something to make those pop less noticeable like change the fog distance or add more natural looking fog.
    Thanks for the feedback :D

Is the rocky part performance bad when you are getting close to it or driving through it?
Thank you happy to know that :D :D

I update the No rocks version for the 1.7.1, you should be good :D

Now it's good, before the amount of rock was so big that it halved my fps but now it's fine.

I just wonder if you could get his environment settings through the editor. I don't ever mess with it. I also only ran that section in reverse for some suspension testing vehicles on the whoops. The big whoops are pretty much relegated to the pre-runner, even the baja... fiat couldn't really handle it. Not sure if that's a plus or not, but there is an easier path for everything else. The only other minor issue I had was it's kind of hard to see the terrain on the repeating trail texture, but I don't know a good solution for that. Pretty sure it's a vanilla texture that's just not that great.

Oh, I'm not sure if Nadeox's map is based on Google Earth data or something, based on textures and terrain it might be, maybe you could get some low res lidar data and textures for somewhere around Baja or the Mojave/Nevada for the "outside" the map instead of repeating the map? Would look more natural too.

Thanks for the heads up on the environment for me I was okay, after you showed me the Nadeox's I started analyzing and I made some change that are close to the Nadeox's mod. Yes the big whoops are pretty much for vehicles with long travel suspension. I change the texture on the trail. I wasn't happy since the begin with the trails texture but I didn't know what else to use, now I made some cool changes to the texture and I think you all will like.

I can look that up and see how its done and try, can't promise that I can make lol.

I might try something for rally after all the terrain and trails for pre runner are done :D

I fixed all the bushes that were on the trail, I feel you the flags are as hard as GTAV trees I will try to disable the collision or put then further way from the track.

The changes I made for the trails :D

I know that's what people do for track mods in AC, and a little closer to home, Ewanc's Pikes Peak mod. https://www.beamng.com/threads/pikes-peak-lidar-edition.51052/
You could try asking them about it, or maybe on RaceDepartment since they do a lot of AC modding there now. I saw a video about it a while ago, you just pick the location you want and it downloads it as a 3d file you can open in Blender.

Can you make the flags act like bushes so instead of being solid they just slow you down? They should have some sort of interaction.

That trail texture looks really good, I'd have to run it to see if it's "non-descript" enough to work everywhere. The last texture looked really off in the dunes. Think this one will be okay though. Would still be cool if possible to have a few different surface textures and material interactions throughout the track, since it goes from hard packed dirt, through the rocky mines, the dunes, and the dry lakebed. Nitpicky, but it'd be really cool.

I gonna def look into it. Thanks

It turns out I don't know how to do that lol, I tried some shenanigan here and nothing seen to work, I guess I will leave without collision for now.

Thanks man, The last texture wasn't the best I agree but now Its changed, I will see what I can do here for the rocky mine and dry lakebed.

I don't know what yet, but something is killing my framerate when I look in certain directions. Other than that, my only complaints are the beginning has a lot of loops that are easy to take, could put flags on junctions so you know which way to go. Similarly, there's stuff like sudden dips or hills after longer straights that lead head first into other hills or sudden turns. Could maybe use some kind of cautionary flag.

In terms of issues, I found some missing meshes and LODs, and some terrain next to the trail is pretty low res and spiky. The new trail texture is definitely a lot better, and works on the dunes too, good job. But it's a little sharp and segmented in the new acute corners I don't know if you can add more road nodes there or what.

Upon further examination, I think it's just an LOD thing in general. The further I get from the center the worse the framerate when looking back at the map. Considering you use the full map, this leads to a lot of times where you're at the edge of the map and turn towards the center and the framerate just dies. I mean from 80 to 24 instantly.

Yep, it's the terrain LOD. Compared to Sandy Mountain, there's not as many LODs. So where Sandy mountain has about the same framerate at the edge looking in, this one just dies.

Thanks for the pictures it really helps when comes fix the problem, I fixed the missing meshes and LODS for those objects. You right the terrain are without LODs I will try to fix but if I cant I will just remove the terrain and leave the mountains.

The trails are different now, the ones that are going to lead to the finish line are the ones with tire marks but not saying that the ones without wont take it as well and if the person feel that there is a faster way way not try it haha. I agree with you on the sudden dips, turns and bumps on the trails, it can catch you off guard. I will try to put some cautionary flag like you said.

Thanks for the quick feedback I will work right now to try to fix.

I'm not sure if it's the out of bounds or just the main map in general. Might be both. You can turn wireframe on in-game in zoom upwards and compare it to something like Italy or Sandy Mountain, those are the only 2 I have of the same map size.
