So I picked up a new car a little over a week ago...

It's a 2008 Buick LaCrosse CXL, and yes the mileage in the pics is correct.

    7400 miles, approx 12000 km.

My old car and the new car (the old car is now my dad's, he needed a car better on gas then our old 1997 Ford E150 (5.4L Triton V8)
    photo 5 (3).JPG

The car belonged to my girlfriend's grandparents, they had it as their spare car for longer trips, so when it was time to downsize, her parents bought it, originally for her father, but he wanted something a little sportier (he drives a V6 Pontiac G6 Coupe) so they offered it to me for what they paid, which was...

    $10,000.

So pretty much a brand new car for that low price, there was no way in hell I could pass it up. :)

I am 16 and do not quite own a car yet...however, my two older brothers and both my parents each have their own car, and since my oldest brother has not passed his driver's test yet I drive his car quite commonly. It is a WHITE version of this 1996 Pontiac Grand Am 2-door. The car specs are 2.4L I4 DOHC with a 5-speed manual transmission, disk brakes in front and drums in rear, 220,000 KM on it. The only fancy options installed in the car are the CD Radio and the power locks function, but that's it. Other than that, it's a fun, sporty little car. This car needs a couple things still, but it still runs and drives VERY nicely for it's age.

One thing I should clarify about the rumor that the 2.4L I4 DOHC likes to throw its timing, is that it actually doesn't. The reason so many of these particular engines have thrown their timing is because they are commonly placed in small cars, and people naturally abuse the gas pedal in smaller cars more often because they feel that the engine is not as strong due to the car's size. Sometimes this is true, other times not quite...the 2.4L is one of the most common victims, however, and has gained this rumor as a result.

Oooooohhhhhh, this one's REALLY shiny! Never seen a car this old so shiny before...only the really old ones and the really new ones.

Bought this a few months ago.

1995 Audi S2 Avant. 2.2L five cylinder, turbo, 20 valves, 6 speed manual, quattro, goes like a scouser with your car stereo. Only mod so far is a chipped ECU and it puts out roughly 285awhp

Got the following Supersprint 70mm straight pipe ready to go in as soon as I can borrow my mate's lift.

Not really, some people just don't want to burn cash and fuel. That remark really was uncalled for.

I plan on putting a cold air intake, headers, as well as fixing the exhaust. Want to find some nice rims for it and re-paint some panels. Also needs to be lowered. It sits way to high right now.

My plans for the Jetta are putting spacers on the wheels for a better stance, getting a spoiler, and putting on some roof racks. Basically gonna be one bad ass winter beater. It actually already has headers and a cold air intake. Also painted calipers haha. That adds like 40HP right there lol.

Lovely, the A70 Supra is really underrated, they are a spectacular vehicle, I'd certainly choose one over an A80. You've done well to, keeping it since 1990:D

I suppose I'll post my car as well, a 1988 Nissan Skyline [R31]. It's excellent, most of the time...

I see your JDM and add my 350Z with a just finished VH45DE swap (also threw in a pic of my old R33 i just found)
Your R31 looks really mint! Had acouple of R33s, built myself a RB30/26DETT in one of them, was a fun build. Not many using the A70 Supra as a upgradable base, i like what i see!
