The amount of new people we got when the game released was incredible. The forums turned from kinda like a small town into a big city. It was a massive change.
I only joined the forums very soon after the game was released. If I had never heard of RoR I probably would never even have batted an eyelid at BeamNG.I know this is late, but happy birthday BeamNG!
Somehow it feels much longer than a year I'm pretty sure it's the small island. If you check the part out at 1:50, it's the same winding mountain road.
Oh god those pissed me off to no end. I can't believe people would be dumb enough to believe that shit. And then there were people saying "omg get these physiks in gta v!111"
Wow. I used to play RoR a bit, and remember when the very first video (back when it was on CryEngine) came out. Then .drive was announced, by which point I had a Mac. 11 months I waited, all the while saving up for a gaming PC. I managed to get the Tech Demo working, and played that for a while, despite the lag. Finally I built my PC, and one of the first games I bought was, of course, BeamNG. Worth the wait, and I can't wait to see what the next year holds for this game!
I can't believe it has been this long. It seems like yesterday I was waiting for the game to download for the first time. Jeesh, I even remember the anticipation from the devs when they originally said that they had something special coming for us in January 2013. When I joined the forums they were barely active, just a few guys are still active to this day it seems. It's been fun and I can't wait to see what the future brings! (Sorry for the slight bump. I just felt it was necessary for me to partake in the festivities.)
wow, an entire year already? well happy birthday BeamNG.Drive it feels like only yesterday i was downloading the tech demo at 0.2KB/s (because overloaded server's )
Seems like just yesterday when I watched the time count down on my phone in the middle of a water park. :|
