So I was wondering about this last night while I was crashing a bolide, that Bugatti has a bolide too, and pretty sure it was made after the beamng bolide, so can't beamng sue Bugatti for technically stealing the name?

No because BeamNG used it first and bolide is only trademarked when used in conjunction with the Bugatti name. Also Bugatti doesn’t care.

Aviation industries should team together and sue Tesla for stealing the Autopilot name.

"Bolide" is a term used to describe meteors that disintegrate before they hit the ground. Bolides are distinct from other types of meteors in that they are extraordinarily bright and sometimes explosive. Both the 1908 Tunguska event (which produced a blast similar to a 12 Mt nuclear device) and the Chelyabinsk event in 2013 (in the 400-500 kt yield range, about 25 times more powerful than the bomb that hit Hiroshima) both were likely superbolides, which are bolides reaching -17 apparent magnitude, or about 100 times as bright as a full moon.

No, you can't copyright it. A Bugatti Bolide is trademarked; bolide as a general term is not. Civetta Bolide is though, so keep your eyes peeled in case another company decides to violate Beam's IP (or add an easter egg!).

No, bolide is not a trademarked name. its french for "Racing Car" but also is the word for "a large meteor which explodes in the atmosphere."

it should also be mentioned that real life car companies reuse other's names all the time.
    there's a Panhard, Toyota, and Harley-Davidson Dyna,
there's a Buick and Toyota Century,
    Oldsmobile and Ford Fiesta,
    Bentley and Lincoln Continental
and a Sauber, Citroen, Audi, Corvette, and Amilcar C6, Etc.
    this is nothing new.

    "civetta" means owl.
"bolide" means fireball or meteor, as Tom Foolery stated.

lol even IF there was legal wrong doing we all know damn well the owners of Bugatti could afford better lawyers if it boiled down to it.

Beamng just can't sue Bugatti. Reason is because beamng doesn't have this status as Bugatti and if beamng sue them, beamng team will have big problems and it could be the game, the all of this universe just have "malaise era"
