You used solidify ? I mean, it's fine, i guess, but for your next model you should try to only use the mirror modifier, (and edge split if needed) you would have much better polyflow.
The spiking could actually be because of solidify because it could have made the mesh too high poly in those areas
No, i mean it spiked before apllying solidify, but now seems spiking more... Or not? I didn't seen too much --- Post updated --- Hold on
Yeah, the polyflow definitely isn't ideal at all, it's too high poly in most places, not high poly enough in some places, the lines look a bit shaky, that's definitely why it spikes.
Nah you need to try and modify it yourself, for example use the knife cut tool to cut some vertices in the upper part of the front fender, and dissolve some lines in the trunk floor area.
the polyflow needs some work. The problem is there’s no edgesplit. No bevels, and a lot of the shapes are mechanically incorrect. It’s 90% fine though. I use edgesplit at 50* and put bevels on noticeable sharp corners that you see often. To fix shading I Ctrl+e and mark sharp when needed.
No offense but how can you call this polyflow "perfectly fine"?? It has quite a few very visible issues
Look at the front fender, the vertices ar not aligned and there is a gap beetween the A-pillar and the rest of the fender. And look at the back fender, there are way more vertices than needed.
ok Ill rephrase I was tired. The polyflow isn't great but there are a number of issues besides that which I've listed.
