Well I'm also partially asking this because this is a repo mod with a thread, which means that there's one normal mod on the repo, and there's also an unofficial updated one in this thread, which makes it inconvenient compared to if the updated one was used for the repo

If you click on f11 (or whatever world editor is) and then click on level info, I'm pretty sure you can change the atmospheric temperature there.
Or you can just download the google drive link one provided by angelo234. That map has corrected temps and better textures for the roads.
You can definitely do that, the atmospheric temperature changing can be considered for future use though

First of all, great mod. But I have some suggestions. Highways. They're too slippery. Almost undrivable. In RL, those get cleared or salted almost immediately. My suggestion is to make them just wet. Parking lots, general paved areas. There are areas ( especially parking lots) that aren't slippery at all. If anything, they should be the most slippery since they don't get cleared so often.
The race track is undrivable as well. I'd suggest to make all currently dry areas wet and also the racetrack (or maybe make it dry like the dragstrip). Other than that, this is one of my favorite maps in beam
Are salted snow roads even a thing in BeamNG? The standard slippery one is a thing (duh, it's literally used in this mod) but I'm not sure if salted ones are available in BeamNG. Putting chains on tires by IYB mostly solves the issue of the roads being slippery though, unless you don't like driving big-rigs or off-road vehicles.
There aren't salted roads in beam but a salted road behaves very much like a wet road when the salt melts the ice.
It does. Especially on the west coast map. It's not the Arctic where everything's frozen solid. Real highways aren't frozen in winter either. They get cleared and the heat from the tires driving on them melts the ice and they become wet.
Yes, but you can't blame the author for that. BeamNG devs clearly didn't add the salted and unfrozen winter roads in. He could've made it wet but to me it doesn't make too much sense. I respect your opinion though.
