Update Speculation thread

During the podcast the Vehicle Lead was in, they all but confirmed the Bolide is coming with the Bastion.

It's the update of B it seems.

 

The new Bolide looks great and basically finished. My guess would be on a release this or at latest next week, but probably this week.

 

Teaser content is released with the next update usually, and they said it would be before christmas. So not 3 months

Cannot wait to make custom configs with the group b bolide, what an absolute masterpiece!

That true it might be.

For asphalt races yes, but for gravel with jumps and hops all rally cars are tuned differently.

If they have a new refueling system, the brakes also need improvement or it won't matter for longevity. Say racing for example you'll be able to refuel, but you won't be able to fix your brakes after they fade from just a few laps of racing.

 

Seems like a tarmac-spec, although if it is it's a bit high for one, may be some 80's rally thing though.

Rally bolide looks damn cool. Bolide is a fitting name for a group b car because I believe it translates roughly to “fireball” and when you crash a group b car…

In all seriousness, qa_stable being updated this much confuses me… didn’t the not update it before 0.24?

 

By the looks of it, these are sport tires for tarmac and the reason they have a high profile is because all tires back then had a respectable profile height, to say the least.
The rear gravel guards are useful in both asphalt and gravel stages though.

There's a lot of content to be added to the Piccolina. Two-tone paint designs, a Landaulet (or Decapotabile, in Italian) body with various colour choices for the soft top, Drag parts and engine swaps, these come to my mind!

Probably doing the whole QA thing, it takes time.

 

Sometimes they tease stuff but we have to wait through a couple of update cycles. The Wendover comes to mind.

 

In french (and italian too i presume) it simply means fast, or is used to describe something fast.

 

In greek it means the bullet of a gun but yeah, it's also used metaphorically for describing something fast.

 

In german Bolide means fast sports car, so not metaphorically at all but literally what it is
