Alright, bolide means lots of things, we get it. I was making a joke. (It does mean fireball in Italian though)
Yes, the first thing we did for the remaster was tweak the proportions. There's now about 5cm more headroom (mostly raising the rearward part of the roofline, the actual height of the car is only 2.5cm extra now), 15cm more pedal room, and the overall width of the car is narrower but it still has broader "shoulders" since the greenhouse is narrower still.
All these little stuff that we don't necessarily see while playing are really important and proves the attention which is accorded to details Anyways, even if it's splitted in two (and that little deception/incomprehension when we didn't saw the Bastion in game on the update release (you don't rush art and that's normal)), this is probably be one of the denser and most important update ! Back to speculations : do you think that the Etk center we saw on Nadeox's Imgur will come in this update, or that we'll see it in 0.25 ?
Good catch, I was level designer for about 4 years, but I've been back on the vehicle team since the Vivace was in development
Going back to the Piccolina, it's very clearly based on the Fiat 600 which, on top of the Trasformabile with a foldable soft top, also had a proper cabrio model, the 600 Capri Cabriolet, so it would be cool to have it in game (although it's way too soon to remaster it)
You know I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the Bolide remaster, or at least what we've seen so far. It's just not different enough from the original, there aren't box fenders or side vents or anything... and the front hasn't changed at all. I would have waited a bit longer for a more complete redesign with more 037 or 288 GTO/F40 cues
My thoughts on the Bolide remaster, they did a great job on the rear, somewhat improved the sides then didn't bother with anything in front of the b pillar
Keep positive my friend... we might still have new engines and/or a new race spec, maybe twin turbo too, the devs won't spoil everything in the teasers
Considering the pessima remaster pretty much just added some bumpers, an engine model and made the interior too shiny... we'll see
One thing I'd really like to see on the bolide remaster is an actually correct chassis. The current one can only be described as a 2 poly box that makes no sense engineering wise and isn't accurate at all to IRL 80s supercar chassis. It looks like the front arms are completely new and I think I can see a subframe which is great. Love the mechanical stuff that Beam has been developing recently, especially the Pigeon and Vivace, so I can't wait to see what the bolide has under its skin
Tbh that's like the one part of the remaster I'm still excited for, the rest just looks like we waited three years for minor proportion adjustments
