At 45 km/h (28mph) the super-matic is already in 3rd gear but the dual-matic is still in 1st gear, is that intended?

The Dual-matic is a two speed, so yes

I wish the rear door/rear quarter panel area would get attention from the Devs. It's gotten so spikey in the last few update cycles--it acts more like a mod than an official vehicle at this point.

Very exciting that the spare tire was added to the Burnside!! That hole in the trunk has been longing for this change :)

But, on a serious note, I realize time, effort, and money was put toward the dashboard stitching, but can that be removed? It's completely anachronistic. Cars in the 1950s had a metal dash or a padded/vinyl covered dash and stitching was just not a thing. Not even on a Cadillac, let along something like a Burnside. Even the taxi config has it!

It's ruining my favorite car :(

I am loving that new spare tire!
I've been thinking that the Burnside does need a couple of things when it comes time for a refresh - updates to interior materials that draw more heavily from the source vehicles are definetly one thing I'd like to see, along with some completely different colour palette designs.

There was a bunch of other interesting ideas buried in this thread - a fender-mounted siren for the police car, lowrider hydraulics, a roll cage, dirt-track cut body and fenders - there's certainly a lot of untapped potential in the Burnside!

Oh good, I just logged in to see if anyone brought up the anachronistic dash stitching. They should put back the metal dash and instead give us a magnetic springy hula girl to stick onto it.

On that siren sub-topic I did make a suggestion thread on a somewhat period correct siren for the burnside that could be used as an option if you didn't want to use the beacon light like what we have currently or the fender mounted(like as you suggest), that option being along the lines of a Sireno R-5-R used through a large chunk of the 50's and even into the 60's with smaller departments. I'll repost the picture I used to give context and add a second as reference.

That would be great for alternate (say, Firwood, Belasco, or State Trooper) police configs!

@Falkrum is there something we can do to adjust/remove/make optional the stitching given the feedback in this and the .24 thread?

It looks like they removed the stitching in the last hotfix---can anyone else verify? That's an exciting development!

I really hope the next update fixes the horrific spiking the Burnside gets in this one location. It's been a persistent problem now across several updates

I hope they add a 2 door version, and add more parts to the interior like a roll cage and racing seats.
