IDK, they wouldn’t put the That makes sense but I don’t think they’d put the bastions theoretical suv cousin under the bastion name.
So with the new "RewardCar" thing in the code, someone pointed out that the "rewardCar" system was simply disabled by a "true" or "false" variable in the code. I can report back that changing the needed variables to true and changing out the bastion to something else for the reward car does not really return any results. However, the car you choose to be the reward car can be seen parked at the side of the road in the mission, which is interesting, but apart from that there is not any extra UI bits or notifications that happen. I also believe that the Reward car system doesn't mean that we are getting career mode, I feel like it will be used for unlocking secret car configs, such as the Police Offroad Beast. I think this is more plausible because it will be a way to get people to do the missions that have been introduced in 0.24, and it gives a little more depth to the game as well as a sense of achievement when you get one of the secret configs
Some configs are already hidden by default such as the "Guineapig_Hatch" and the "Guineapig_Hopper" as they are only used in a scenario or two. Reward cars could be hidden under "Custom Configs" and then moved to the regular config file once unlocked.
In terms of release date for the update, it will most likely come Monday or Tuesday to possibly allow for a quick hotfix Wednesday or Thursday so the devs can have everything done so they can have their holidays without having to work on a hotfix or other stuff.
I remember a few years ago there was like a career demo in the game, how close to this could the next career demo be?
they also said in career you could find random cars with random customization well i remember reading something along those lines
