So Microsoft says you cannot run windows 10 on the Xbox one/series consoles. Does anyone know if the console boots off of the hard drive? Or is there a storage chip souldered to the board? The reason I am asking is because I want to see what happens if i install an HDD with windows 10 on it into an Xbox one.
Because Windows 10 requires a WWDM (Wideband Wavelength Division Multiplexing) compitable GPU. Good try though! #keepexperimenting. --- Post updated --- hmmmmm.... uhh well I think it`s os and bios may have a storage chip. (I`m not an Xbox owner but according to my knowledge of gaming consoles I do think it has a storage chip to store everything related to it`s game loading and etc....) --- Post updated --- Because many consoles (I opened up) had a storage chip.
Well, the OS might need quite a bit of modification to its core components so it could support the proprietary hardware in there, but it is theoretically possible to get Windows 10 on an Xbox.
Impossible You WOULD need to remove the floating window (which is the main features of windows for what it`s supposed to). I.e- Absoluotely destroying it.
