okay, to start off, beamng and its moderation team does not support third party mods, and revamping one isnt the greatest idea, also because you most likely dont have permission from the original modder. besides, it seems like there was barely any changes other than pbr and probably configs. and stating not to repost your revamp of a reposted mod is kinda ridiculous. i wouldnt bother doing this, because this mod was probably released without permission onto sites.
I wrote with the moderator, there were no big contraindications, fact that mod isn't mine. If you think I just added the PBR and changed the configurations, you are wrong. Check first then write. And if you still don't like it:
wouldnt it make more sense to put more effort then release it onto a serious place like, ahem, the beamng forums? and i cant find a single change log on this forum to 'check first then write'.
Might wanna change the because i dont think you did ALL the work. Maybe majority or something would be better.
Maybe, because I did all work with that revamp, I can change it to me - revamp ok? this is my first biggest mod I've ever done and I don't want to lose my will, please
Im not saying you didnt do any work on the mod, but its just the way you worded it, the revamp part you suggested sound’s better worded.
'he even liked it' thats things that moderators do, they support anyone with their work and they like it to be nice. them liking your messages does not prove anything, it only proves their behaviour. im giving my own opinion here about your 'revamp'. id love to see a change log, even a rough one. but your excuse of a moderator agreeing doesnt prove anything for your perspective sadly. besides, these are questions that i have made, and i highly doubt you thought of that and asked a mod. id appreciate some honesty. later on, ill download the mod and take a look, then hit you up with some suggestions to improve if this is really a big mod youve made and are passionate about revamping it.
ok, small change log: -added PBR textures -modernised bumpers (prefacelift/facelift, m-package) -almost all engines with original power -many types of working lights (and skins) -different types of working gauges -very big interior customisations: ( -colors -accesories -steering wheels -seats -even type of window control -radios -ac panels -working analog clock or obc ) -many wheels and some "tuning" addings
You are just jealous, because you are NOT able to do something like that. Enjoy great car or go far away.
Really good mod so far! Enjoy playing with it so much! Just a suggestion to make it more realistic, you should add the engine oil values on here and the engine oil pan so it can simulate a real oil leak or oil burning like the actual E36's! If you can find how you can replicate actual BMW E36 energy absorption during a crash, that will make it more realistic. They usually have some type of bar that absorbs minor parking bumps and energy in a crash as seen on top gear. I posted a link to that video! Love the mod so far!
alright, so ive tried it out, heres what ive found so far. 'USA Spec' and not 'USDM Spec' the wheels are supposed to be hubcaps yet their nodes are inside the wheels and the texture for them isnt good unedited bumper jbeam nice your black texture is one sided i have a feeling your exterior black texture is hq based on how it reflects light your jbeam twitches way too much your deform group textures are terrible your model has too much poly's your needles are grouped to the dash mesh unedited flexbodies why on earth are your engines labelled after the size --- Post updated --- yeah sure i definitely cant do something like this and great mod? thats a bit much
If that's the case, then many mods wouldn't see much improvement and things would go downhill. You need constructive criticism to make a mod better than it was before. And pulling the "you're just jealous" on someone is just plain rude and also definitely won't help matters.
I don't know why you've decided to be so harsh today, but revamping mods from other sites is a normal thing, and of course the mod's not done yet, it's a "WIP beta released". If AdamPLGames is gonna be happy because Car_Killer said something was a good idea, let him be encouraged by that. I also worked on that Toyota Camry (original linked here), and it's not like I see credits to anyone there (your version linked here), despite the team of people who improved it over several versions, so I don't think attacking him on permissions basis is a very good thing for you to be doing either. The whole point of the BeamNG forums is to encourage and share mods, so it's not good to rip into ideas for three whole messages before giving actual feedback. Proper punctuation and capitalization helps too.
