Oh this is way higher than I thought, the pressure should definitely be raised EDIT: Actually that is Extended Mode, Offroad Mode is different, idk if you can have 4 modes in the mod
Is it possible to create a system that outputs values for the spring rate and spring height by th press of a button? Like, something that uses the air pressure value to output a spring height value, so the springs behave like coil springs, but you can change that by pressing a button to raise or lower the air pressure.
From my knowledge that isn't something possible to do --- Post updated --- Four modes is possible to do, but yes, with too much pressure the suspension does get extremely stiff; but I think I can make it softer with adding a different adaptive suspension mode
I'll test here keeping the airbags coding, but using the airbag pressure as a input value for the spring height. Edit: didn't go as expected. Tried with the Bastion, but I have no idea if the rd height changes were caused by the airbag beams themselves (even though I made their pressure be constantly 0), or by the variation of the spring height. If any of you want to try to solve this I'll upload the files
This mod is more fun than most official vehicles, I have to admit. The potential of this mod in the future is unlimited. Everyday I woke up I have to check if there are any further updates, and each time I load a BeamNG map the first car I spawn is this. Thank you JorgePinto
Thank you all for the kind words Today's update is taking a bit longer, but I'm trying to solve painting issues for once and for all, there is UV overlapping which means if I fix the roof, the bumper gets ruined, so I'm trying to remap those areas as best as possible, otherwise this will never end... Meanwhile, here is a peek at the biggest feature of the upcoming update!
ohh myy a van-ified defender, never stop to amaze us ! But also maybe we can have more rims from my suggestion ?
And update is live! Added Hard Top Commercial version Has its own config based on the D240 Features a custom exterior with no quarter windows and roof paint zone extended Custom interior with no rear seats and seatbelts, closed down quarter windows, partition (straight out of the police Bastion, have to admit) front middle seat and custom console Includes an optional beamcom skin Added support for running boards Added as standard on the Hard Top, P400 Off-Road and Off-Road configs Fixes: Improved painting issues as much as possible (please report any further problems) and as a consequence the roof is now separate from the body (added as a flexbody to the body itself) Improved glass look overall Fixed missing textures on interior rear map lights Will be considered for sure
let's just say that after some time, your defender mod gets so good you just don't know what to fix lol, so are you going to plan another car ? If so, what would it be ?
I would like to ask, if a police config could be added? I don't know if the vehicle is fully able to make a skin for it
Yeah with the partition it looks like it would make a really cool cop car, it only needs a light bar, push bar and a police skin
small mistakes. 1: you can barely see the street through the crack in the door. 2: seen in the screenshot.
Half of everyone is having wheel problems, could you do the materials the PROPER way instead of the mess that it is now? So 1 material instead of like 10, having everything in a dedicated folder, no duplicates, no generic names, using a texture instead of flat colors, etc. This way they will not only work for everyone but should also look better with proper textures with some details. Everything in the car has proper materials except for the wheels, so fix them.
