Cars with black windows only from the inside

    Hello, anyone else experiencing some cars sometime have black windows but only from the inside?
    from the outside they look normal and transparent, but when looking from the inside out the are fully black, and sometimes the same car might have this problem on all windows while in other versions of the same car only some windows are affected, this happens more with mod cars than original cars.
    you guys think it's mod related?

    Hello, have you found a fix yet?

    Im currently having the same problem but its only on the etk800. I tried reinstalling the etk800 file and running the game with mods, clearing cache etc but nothing works.

    Have you tried running the game in safe mode? If the black window problem doesnt happen in safe mode then your problem is probably the same as mine. I managed to fix mine by deleting one of those text files which i forgot where i found them but its in one of those game vehicle config files. I'll see if i can remember where exactly it is.

    you mean in appdata>local>bmng>0.24>vehicles?

    I think it was somewhere in the steamapps beamng file. It was a file with a few notepad config files inside with car names. I deleted the whole file so I cant check what its called.

    I think the file you are talking about is just unused stuff for career mode and it has nothing to do with this issue

    My issue was fixed after I deleted those notepad files. Those files are probably created by some of the installed mods however they are placed separately so deleting the mods wont do anything.

    Mods can't install separate files like that, they must have been from vanilla game

    Its not from vanilla game. Some of the names of the notepad files were the names of the modded vehicles. Its the mods for sure cause running it in safe mode completely solves the issue. Removing the mods folder from the game didnt fix it for me but after i deleted those notepad files, i no longer had the issue. Its definitely something to do with the mods.

    Where did you get those mods then and how did you install them? If whoever made them figured out how to make some kind of script to create new files in another folder, then it's potentially dangerous since they could give you a virus the same way

    I got them here and placed it in the mods folder. Im pretty sure theyre just some sort of car config or setting, doesnt seem like anything dangerous.

    Which mods were they exactly? I have never seen a mod that adds extra files to the steamapps folder
