I like how a lot of the same speculation regarding the teased supercar was just picking random words from italian... Though no one has suggested it might be the Civetta LaCivetta
I need to be enlightened. How are we getting horsepower figures from the ass-end of a digital drawing? The DeLorean looks like it would be fast and it has 130 hp. The Lancia Scorpion looks like an old lambo and it takes it like 10 sec to get to 60 with its 81 hp. How much horsepower do you think this car has? 400-500? Wrong, it gets 250. Looks don't equal horsepower.
I doubt the first modern high end car will be a hypercar right off the bat. Factory 900hp would put that firmly in hypercar territory as one of the highest hp purely ICE cars in production. 600hp give or take at most is more reasonable for Beam's first modern high end car IMO --- Post updated --- While we just have a concept drawing, it sure looks like a proper performance car. Even the cheapest current production Ferrari is still something like 590hp currently. Even if this turns out to be a surprise like a Cherrier, the Citreon GT had 650hp. It would be bizzare and out of character for the team to tease what looks like a modern super car, which is very highly requested, and then pull a BMW and only give it sub-400hp
now i know i cant reserve a car name and its kinda stupid. but years ago i started to work on the ferrari laferrari, model 100% scratch made, got stuck on jbeam but im hoping to pick it back up and finish it in the future hopefully. im 100% gonna call it civetta lacivetta and planning a repo release. i had already made the front and rear split years ago, but now that the bolide got updated, i may redo the jbeam with new stuff. see how devs made it. i honestly dont even know why im talking about this. but going into speculations again, the new civetta kinda looks thicc, a kinda thicc that makes me think hypercar. i cant wait to see what devs are planning with this car for us. if you ask me its gonna be either one of 2: a modern bolide, or an actual new hypercar. i know i said im sick and tired of v8, and dont get me wrong, i am. but the new bolide does look very sick. cant wait to see it fully. i know its kinda a stretch, but the new civetta makes me think of a bugatti, looking at it im sure a w16 quad turbo would fit. really just hoping to see ANYTHING ELSE other then a v8.... please no more v8....
the moonhawk needs a update it has the worse quality of any car in game, but the crash physics are kinda ok from when this car came out.
Look at the rear tires & how wide they are; they don't really scream "hypercar" to me. If this trim will be a config, it will definitely be more of a higher-end supercar similiar to Lamborghini, Ferrari & McLaren rather than a hypercar like Koenigsegg or Bugatti. I'm no car design expert so take my blabbering with a grain of salt in case I do make a fool out of myself once the car is properly revealed, but so far I am holding onto my opinion of it being a supercar
i mean, it's a sketch, tires are most definitely not the most important part of it, it could totally be an oversight.
I mean since this is only concept art, it could totally go from this to something more hypercar like. might not, but its definitely going to look different when its out from this concept.
I'm wondering if this is going to effectively be 2 separate cars, in the same way as the regular bolide and the corse are. for example, ferrari presently makes the F8 tributo, and the SF90 stradale. while the SF90 does use a hybrid system to gain the extra power on top of the F8's already twin-turbo 720hp engine, and that's clearly off the table, what other ways of making more power could it reasonably have?
I could see an N/A V10 taking the place of a huracan-like thing in the model lineup, a N/A v12 being the aventador, and a pair of turbos on the v12 for the hypercar, like a sian. i also could see the v10 having a very big aftermarket.
I doubt the new car would be a hypercar because I just don't see them jumping straight to a full on hypercar before getting a supercar in game first.
Speaking of which, why not flip the script on the Bugatti Boilde and call this one "Civetta Chiron" or something... Anyways, I wonder, now that all maps have been remastered (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all were remastered), What happens map-wise? A new map, or more content on existing maps (like we got some additions to WCUSA- The distant gas station and the junkyard area, or like the road added to Italy after it was released)? Anyone has any evidence or specualtion?
i'd say that other than maybe a few more remaster touch-ups on ECA when they convert it to PBR, I don't think there's going to be any new content in the maps, at least until they need to make some locations look more specific for career mode. the extra towns and roads in Italy (and the port) were added in the first update after its release, they were added because the map was initially released incomplete, as they didn't want to hold up the whole of 0.16 just because of the map. as for WCUSA, that was the team returning to it and doing some heavy optimisation, which then gave them room for the extra meshes of the tunnels and the logistics warehouse.
