I am in the process of improving the 7AGE's torque curve for the 86 but I cannot figure out what the formula for calculating flywheel torque from jbeam torque is. I have looked around and found a couple resources on why the torque displayed in the torque curve ui app is lower than the torque set in the engine jbeam but they don't seem to be accurate anymore.

The equation I came up with eventually was:
Jbeam Torque = Flywheel Torque + Friction + ((Dynamic Friction)(2pi)(Engine Revolutions in Radians per Second)/(Engine Revolutions per Second))

    This comes from another equation:
Flywheel Torque = Jbeam Torque - Friction - (Braking Coefficient)(Engine Revolutions in Radians per Second)

The braking coefficient is and old part of the engine jbeam that has been replaced with dynamic friction.
The conversion between braking coefficient and dynamic friction as stated by the wiki is:
Dynamic Friction = (Braking Coefficient)(Engine Revolutions per Second)/(2pi)

With this solved for braking coefficient and substituted in and solved for jbeam torque, you get the first equation.

I used this to calculate the proper values in Excel but the ui app still displays a torque value that is too low.

If anyone knows the exact way beam calculates torque from the jbeam value to the flywheel, It would make the process of making the engine accurate to irl go by much quicker.

EngineAV is in radians per seconds. The correct formula to get combustion torque (jbeam torque) from flywheel torque would be : FlywheelTorque+Friction+DynamicFriction*RPM*0.1047, with 0.1047 being the conversion factor from RPM to rad/s.

A few other factors to keep in mind is that as with most jbeam, torque is defined in metric units, in this case newton-meters.

And depending on how your car is set-up, some parts like the intake, exhaust and longblock might be negatively affecting the horsepower.

And there was also an undocumented change that separated the friction of most part into static friction, dynamic friction and torque loss coef, and only the last one of these affects the actual torque.
