Yep, just got to think of this! Hahaha! So a longitudinal Flat-4 being smaller than 2 liters could take the place of the 1.8 Inline-4 and it could also keep the CVT option of that engine, only longitudinally mounted as well.
Yeah, the 3.5 V6 could make for a Base version of the said modern Bruckell Pickup! I think I have to agree with you, because the 6.9 V8 seems to overheat quite easily when a Stage-3 Supercharger and a Stage-3 Long Block are fitted, even if it has the Ultra High Performance Radiator. Thank you! It's a list of ideas some of us think they can work (including a Dev Team member, he wanted this since 2015 and he wasn't in BeamNG back then) and, as you can see, we're discussing how the Inline-4 could exist in harmony with the Flat-4s (it can't, it just can't be done)! A Sunburst Wagon could also expand the general appeal of the model! Very nice idea this one! Especially if there's also an off-road version with AWD, black cladding, all-terrain tires and higher ground clearance! I have no sim setup as of now, I have to make do with my 10yo laptop, which isn't doing that bad tbh (fingers crossed)! So the twitchiness is amplified by the 'all or nothing' function of the keyboard! I'll have to make my own simrig to enjoy driving in BeamNG! --- Post updated --- Inline-4s are everywhere, it's about time the Flat-4s spread more widely in the game.
New car looks like a Renault 5, possibly a Charmand vehicle? All I really have to say is, I hope we can get a Moonhawk remaster this update.
I'd love for the crappiest Sunburst to get a 5-speed manual like the Impreza. (They still use a 5-speed for the base model!)
The hirochi sbr4 is the halo car of hirochi, and it utilizes boxer four cylinder turbocharged engines, so it stands to reason that hirochi would be a predominately boxer-based brand. building a halo car on a brand new engine type would be super expensive and inefficient, if hirochi previously made inline engines like in the sunburst, and you wouldn't be able to trickle down the engineering marketing from the sbr4 into pedestrian vehicles. Plus, that would make the Sunburst the first front boxer engine car, the first awd based sedan, and the first sedan powered by a flat four in Beamng. We already have a multitude of inline four fwd based awd sedans, especially the 89 pessima, which is mechanically an older model sunburst. My vote is cast for Boxer, as a totally unbiased WRX owner who certainly isn't swayed by the fact that the sunburst is an almost-WRX.
Totally agree, I hadn't thought of any of your points. Making Hirochi a pure Flat-engine brand will make it stand out more in the BeamNG lore amongst the brands that use Inline-4s (Inline-4s are literally everywhere so there's a great big gap open for Hirochi to fill it with its Flat-4s) and it will also elevate the marketing status and strengthen the genetical connection of the more humble - and not so humble - models/options with the top dog of the brand, the SBR4. Plus the "Sunburst is an almost-WRX" argument used against it holds no water when we see the general "tell us without telling us" approach on the mix of real and fictional matters of each BeamNG car (well, except for the SBR4, that car certainly has more fiction in its mix than the other BeamNG cars)!
Amazing!! I see some weird styling in the wheels. Hope it gets some weird 80s styles, with rectangular holes and/or with 4 openly spread slots!
I can't wait to get my hands on that thing once it's released! (I wonder if the next teaser will show more of the new car)
That confirms that the teaser was about the Covet (even if 99% of the forums users figured that out) Anyway, I really do like the fact that they show us more teasers and about early stuff !
