update: I've done some more progress on the s15 unibody, it is now almost fully textured. The normals are reasonably accurate to the real S15 unibody but are definately not perfect, aspecially in some areas where I couldn't find any pictures. T1RE$M0KE also hooked me up with some pictures of an s15 unibody photoscan which helped out massively for some areas that lacked pictures online.
You could find a model S15 in a hobby shop for references for the hard-to-see spots, if that’ll help.
model cars generally dont have details that arent visible, for example you probably won't find any detail under the interior carpet of a model s15 but you will IRL. A model car would be useful to get an idea of the cars proportions in 3d though.
update: -did some tweaking to the jbeam and made sure the updated unibody crashes correctly -lowered polycount of fenders -completely remodelled and retextured the headlights cause they looked trash (used to just be a photo texture): before: after: they look a bit too high contrast rn but they'll look better when i add glass to them
there 100% accurate recreation of noriyaro s15 : it's no where near the real one but its basically all i can do rn also update: -improved the headlights some more and added them ingame -added and sort of jbeamed rear wing+boot+rear bumper -added all factory S15 paints as default colors
3 more loop cuts on C pillar would make it look much better as it still stands out, good progress and the headlights and normal maps look awesome
update: I re-did the rear bumper and entire rear area to much higher accuracy but unfortunately I lost it due to data loss, I've checked all auto saves and stuff and none of them that work have it. It sucks but it'll only set me back a day or two. --- Post updated ---
yeah the bumper will probably be back by wednesday (i got a busy day on tuesday) so it’s no big deal, btw I did atleast manage to add some loops on the cpillar without that part corrupting. I’ve also made sure I have multiple backups of the S15 in different locations to avoid any more serious future data loss situations.
update: so I've worked a bit on the rear bumper, It's still not at the point where it was yesterday but it's getting there. OLD (looks trash) NEW(looks a little less trash)
update: made some topology/shaping changes to the fender area. The fender is higher poly but should look better in high-contrast reflections. before: after: this photo really highlights how bad the fenders used to look in some situations:
