Its been not even 2 weeks since the last post. Just... stop "iS tHiS mOd StIlL aLiVe" posts. They've probably been busy in real life, or just don't posting updates. Seriously, it leads to nothing other than annoyance. Same for the classic "wen relez" or "will this be public". just be patient ffs
Don't worry, mod's not dead. I've just been on a small hiatus, I'll explain why in an update tomorrow or on tuesday.
Hi again, It's been quite some time since the last update, 1.5 months in fact. I'm sorry it took so long, but I'll explain why. So, around a week after the last update I finished doing most of the models I wanted to have for now. I made the entire interior, finished engine bits and overhauled some meshes. But then it came to the unwrapping part. Oh, I can't even explain how much I hate UV unwrapping. In my opinion, it's the worst part of the entire modeling process. In fact it was so bad, that it made me feel completely burnt out. I'd open blender, click on the UV section, and regret all of my life choices that led me up to this point. This continued for about 3 weeks, until I decided that I'll just try to get it done, without thinking of anything negative. Surprisingly, it worked. But then, just as I was about to gain more motivation, school work started to pile up. I had to spend most of my free time doing homework and stuff, taking another week and a half off my development time, but right now it's been smooth sailing for a week since and that has led me to finally post an update. Again, really sorry for staying silent for 1 and a half months, and sorry for this wall of text. Alright, let's get into the progress: The main body is mostly done, along with brand new PBR textures: The car has also recieved a new normal map, so now it's not fully smooth: Along with new undercarriage textures: I've added new chrome parts for the luxury version, based on the Mirage's JDM version, Modarc: And I remade the bodykits from the ground up, with fender flares now belonging to the race config, instead of rally config: And now for the models: the interior is finally complete: Along with a 4-spoke wheel, automatic gearbox, electric windows and sport seats: The engines have been remodeled, each variant (1.3 and 1.6) having their own headers, intakes and cylinder heads: And to finish this off, I've also fitted them with custom performance parts, like race intake, air filter and headers, as well as a turbocharger: That would be about it for this update, I'm not sure when the next one will come out as apparently I can't set deadlines for myself, but it should arrive somewhere in the next week. Hopefully, I won't go on another hiatus and pop up a month later. Again, sorry for my disappearance, and enjoy!
im absolutely thrilled this is back and looking so promising please shoot me a DM if you'd like as i have a few things id like to talk about regarding this project, im super excited for it lol good luck to you man!
I'm not sure, it sounds good, but I think it suits some sort of minivan more, and besides it's too close to Miramar. I'm not really sure either. Seems like a cool idea, but right now an Asti version seems a little too much for me to handle. Maybe I'll make one after I release the mod.
lol what if anything the name should come when the mod is further along and shouldnt be a priority right now
Ibishu hallucination!!! Jokes aside, this thing is coming along great! The influx of 80's and 90's economy car mods is getting larger +covet remaster is on the horizon means that we can soon have a shitbox army.
