Yeah i literally supply everything thats needed as because i have both 353 and 1.3 irl so i go take pictures of anything thats needed for this model to be accurate as possible. Car is not that hard to model and because not much changed during its whole production there is not that really alot to do

I'm waiting for this for years. I was grown up in East Germany (born in 1994), and in my early childhood lots of Wartburgs and Trabbis were still on the street. Even the first car of my mother was a Wartburg 1.3 Really looking forward to your projekt. Good luck
I am a fanatic of cars made in communist nations, for some reason. There is one singular prototype of the 1.3 with the engine mounted longitudinally. They had to extend the cars engine bay so it could fit. It was more expensive to produce it that way, so it was just mounted transversally. The main customers were government officials, and those were mainly used as police cars. Deliveries of domestic privately owned took forever, as exports and government deliveries were more important, so they took forever to get new. Most interestingly, IFA was owned by the half-communist version of General Motors. The "Auto Union", was comprised of Audi, DKW, Horsch, and Wanderer. In 1949, Auto Union was renamed to Audi and was 50% owned by VW. So basically, Audi made this thing for 41 years until they killed it. Audi was practically owned by VW for the entire production of both of these cars, which is why they had a VW engine. It also had an optional five-speed manual for only two years before the car was discontinued. It is extremely rare, it is the holy grail of this car. This thing is the epitome of an internet rabbit hole.

Nice, I can't wait for this mod, Wartburg is one of my favourite eastern block cars so having it in Beam will be sick. Are you also planning to add the Tourist and Trans body styles of this car or sedan only?
i said in my first post that for now it will only include the sedan. The Tourist and Trans will be added at a later point when the sedan is actually finished i have also tweaked the model a bit and finished the pillars will do the doors and doorframes and after that the glass
