Yes, an update is coming at some point. It was initially going to be just a lighting update, but turned out to be something bigger. So far it has: PBR materials everything, new lighting New tunnel models (with some variants too) New dead-ends New intersection (although not completely happy about it, might redo in the future to avoid further pushing this back) New 2-lane highway route (as seen above) Flowgraph integration (ability to change weather, some mini-games) A few more visual additions such as particles Been way too busy to be able to continue working on it, but hopefully these holidays.
This is weird, since 0.24 water is only visible from one side and obviously from the wrong one (only when you are drowning) I tried adding another water plane, moving it & playing with settings but nothing helped. Otherwise a nice map to floor it!
I wonder if there is a way to adjust the way point to make AI not drove straight into water at around 20-25 km mark.(the first fork). .........There are no other map that I can set AI for a relaxing weekend coursing , without worry about crashing the car. (Or a simple enough road to do a steady 100KMH testing.(See how far can a tank of oil goes , at steady speed of 100KMH(beside stop and turn around at both end))
It's a bug from the game, not from the level. We are aware of it The waypoints have been adjusted already, but we need to wait for the next game update to be out before I can release the map as it relies on it
Sounds like something juicy is coming in the update! Looking forward to it as well as your map with PBR ofc
I have bug with traffic on that map, traffic cars drive only one way, and if some car spawned wrong way, it will make turn to another side, in center of highway.
Would be nice actually, we would finally get a place to both test and sense the top speed of some cars without the need to download mods.
I use the empty infinite map for that, but it would still be cool to have SSRB as a vanilla map, it makes for amazing ultra high speed chase gameplay that no other map can offer
True, the empty map just doesn't provide the feeling of speed and you are not punished for mistakes there
And you can't set the AI to do the driving in the empty map , just to have the feeling of a smooth Sunday afternoon cruising (or midnight long drive escape from life) build up. (Sometimes , I just want to hit the road(to release the pressure) , but not able to IRL , so I would go for a virtual one instead......that's until after a certain update , when the AI keep drive off the road at around 20-25 kilometer mark.)
