I never knew what was the actual purpose of these lights, but these videos clearly show that they make a MASSIVE improvement in city driving at night, that's pretty cool

If I'm not wrong, all modern VWs can have them if they have standard fog lights. Usually, if the function doesn't come active from the factory, you can enable it via VCDS

Is this hybrid version use the Arcanox code or you managed to develop a different kind os hybrid system for beam? Also, does the facelift fix the main problem with the Sunburst, and brings the Flat 4 to it? Because it makes no sense for a brand with a flat 4 flagship use boring in-line 4s in their cars, especially because they could just use the same engines and transmissions with only small adaptations.

it may, we havent gotten that far yet. as for the boxer discussion:
you are entirely wrong about that bit about the drivetrains

The Sunburst, if i were to delve into the shithole that is comparing beamng brand to IRL, is mostly Mitsubishi Evolution under the hood and Subaru for styling. it is a transverse platform and a facelift would make absolutely no sense to suddenly swap how the engine is mounted let alone change its cylinder layout. its a facelift, not a new generation in this regard. and it makes complete sense for a flagship to use a different motor than a lower model in the lineup

what you are saying is the A90 Supra inline-6 should be powering all Corollas in essence.

I meant that the Sunburst should never be a car with transverse engines from the start. Specially considering how (after the SBR release) Hirochi became known as the more inovative japanese company in game, leaving Ibishu as the "blend" one. Considering that the guy responsible for vanilla cars nowadays also doesn't like the inline 4 sunburst, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sunburst becomes Flat 4 only after a remaster.

Well, Inline sixes are kind of tough to fit transversely (forgetting the fact that the A90 Supra is, basically, a BMW), but if it was a V6...
Although you can say that, specially on the 90s, VW used the same transmissions on its cars with longitudinally mounted engines, ranging from the Passat up to the 911 (only the Carrera GT scaped, but it wasn't a high volume car). So, imagining that the Sunburst was born with Flat 4 engines, would be WAY easier to Hirochi to develop the SBR4, since it could just rotate the engine 180° and mount it on the back in a 911 style (if it was mid engine, just move the engine to the back). Also, even if Hirochi moved to flat engines after the SBR4 release, it isn't that hard to fit a flat four longitudinally in the Sunburst engine bay, requiring only a major redesign of the firewall and transmission tunnel (again, totally doable by a manufacturer wanting to go cheap), and we cannot forget that the Sunburst structure is for from acceptable in a 2014 new car.

Maybe I'm high, but considering that Hirochi in 2014 just launched its flagship with a pair of flat fours, is probably starting the development of the CCF with flat engines, has a background history with flat engines (with the Saga), need to do some kind of redesign to the Sunburst, especially considering how poor it performed in crash tests, it makes sense to me that Hirochi would go cheap by partially redesigning the Sunburst structure, in order to improve safety, in that process, adapting it to receive the engines and transmissions from the SBR4, since they would have cost a lot to develop, so it's better to dilute that cost selling more cars, and, considering that Beam's emissions standards were based on the European, with Euro 6 launch in 2014, redesigning the I4s, while they have a brand new engine (probably already compliant to Euro 6) makes little to no sense.

For me, 2014 would be a perfect time for Hirochi to go full Flat engined, if they didn't already and I4 Sunbursts just never existed (if its eventual remaster rewrite the Sunburst's history).

If the hybrid is possible, it’ll be entirely kljp code
I’m not using any other mod for it; I’d rather it was mine
