Not being able to spend your own money is bullcrap. Unless it's like your college fund I guess. Also, there is also usually a charge for tethering, especially on unlimited plans.

There are ways around that ;)
There is a ton of apps that allow you to tether in alternate ways.

I have no charge for tethering :p I honestly think charging for tethering should be illegal. Ultimately you pay for mobile data on your phone, and all the data is essentially going onto your phone, so what its shared with a laptop too :p

That is my opinion too, data should be data. If they tell me i can use unlimited data why should they care if its tethered or not.

I think the reason they do tethering as a paid extra is because they don't want someone to start using their £12.90 a month contract as their only internet/phone/netflix connection etc. Since they may be worried about people just switching entirely to them as their main provider. But they are probably still making huge margins and they should just upgrade the network if that happens and invest it.

My dad usually configures the routers, because he works in the ISP we use. He never sets any blocked IP's/DNS' because my mom would kill him lel.
For my phone, im on postpaid because there isn't any cheap prepaid packet that I can afford. Also, tethering is a really nice thing, I remember using my dads old (and mine old) E250 to tether (it had a option on the PC app) it to a old FSiemens laptop and use GPRS when we were outside, mounting equipment.

I am at a total loss. Something went haywire with any sort of recording device on my computer. After install the fans I just ordered, Windows updated and bam. All of the sudden both my Blue Snowball and webcam have horrible distortion and static in them. I've tried the Blue Snowball on my laptop and it works perfectly, so it isn't a problem with the mic itself. I've tried uninstalling the fans, windows updates, absolutely everything. Nothing seems to be working though.

    Nevermind I fixed it!

    Nice bike.

Today I tried to find out why my Husqvarna doesn't recharge the battery. When the power is off the voltage in the battery is 10V, when power is on it's 6V, and when the engine is on the voltage is 9V. I checked the connections between the magneto and the voltage regulator and everything looked fine.

DIsconnect the battery ground and whack an ammeter in there. You might have a dead short somewhere which should register as a current on the ammeter. Alternate method is remove both positive and negative from the battery and whack a continuity tester across both leads or an ohmmeter, if the continuity tester returns true then you have a short, if there is a resistance on the ohmmeter then there is a short. Repeat the test with key set to off and key set to on, I wouldnt do it with the engine running.

i can't use the built-in tethering at all, my cell phone service provider blocks it completley unless i have a specific plan (of course, because android, i can easily remove the app that detects what plan i have and blocks the tethering, then tether whenever i want, hehehehehe, or just use an app from google play which also usually bypasses that)

Yeah, im pretty sure my network blocks tethering. Since my phone stopped functioning for 5 mins after i tried it :p
I will have to see if uninstalling the carrier app helps. Tethering worked on my last contract with a different provider (was on orange, now on 3).

1gb of space just isn't enough anymore. I keep filling my SSD up. How does a Windows installation take up 30 gig?

Now that I think about it... Drivers and base stuffs and web browsers... I can see it.

How the hell does titanfall take 50gb. They must have been aiming to make the files that big, i have no idea, did they just fill the download with random data like a wii game?

    - - - Updated - - -

I can agree, touch wiz is pretty nice (at least on my gs2), the thing i miss most is the camera app. The Samsung camera app is fantastic and i have yet to find anything that is even remotely as good on the play store, camera fv5 gets close.

But i do prefer cyanogen mod 11 with the Android L theme. Its pretty nice, there are just a few thing that i wish they would patch with the theme.
