Used the seat texture to improve the dash one

I ended up making some prototype Giannini versions eventually! They just don't have the Giannini badges, wheels and headlight lids. But the performance is there, estimated torque curves since I don't think any precise data of them exists online.

GP: 600cc engine with twin carburetor, 29hp
GPS: 700cc rally engine with twin carburetor (in game it's the same as Abarth one but different internals), 34hp
GPA: 800cc engine, biggest one this car ever had from any factory (but not as powerful as Abarth) with twin carburetor, 39hp

Also, tested, at 110+ km/h the soft roof wants to fly off, but even at 300 it won't, too strong lol

I really doubt anyone here will be able to drive this car 20 seconds over 150 km/h without crashing lol. But I encourage you to try...

I tested it on empty map, there is nothing to crash into. But then I still crashed anyway, because I tried to drift but I had drag tires, so I rolled over lol

Exactly. Tried to lap on Suzuka, but the farthest I went was the second corner, then I crashed (also crashed multiple times before the first corner)

Texture for the dash plastic instead of just using plain color

    Corrected black dash color now

Nobody wants to model the Inter Groclin seats, so I modified the Roamer ones to look like them and this has to be good enough for now. Will tweak dimensions when I can get it in game and compare with the interior.

    All seat color variants
    dsffsdfsfa.png
Top row - leather: Base black, EL 1994-96 dark grey, ELX bluish grey, FL Maquillage 1992-94 blue, Komfort/export beige, Italy spec orange, Italy spec green
Bottom row - cloth: FL surcharged dark grey, ELX light grey, EL 1994-96 blue, rare FL surcharged Écru
Keep in mind that everything except black, beige and grey was pretty rare in Poland. I didn't include any of the ultra rare colors.
I should do the Inter Groclin ones next probably. And I have to also finish the tires at some point.

This is how many different Inter Groclin seat designs were there... I intend to make them all, I'll definitely have to shorten these names lol, but I need to keep them really descriptive until I finish all skins

I'm pretty sure most people wouldn't even notice the difference, to justify modeling completely new seats

Enormous... I'll have to optimize it a lot. It's mostly because of having lots of textures for the interior, some very big textures for some things, some quite high-poly models by Vapordude and TAN (they definitely did try to optimize them but it's not on the level of vanilla cars), generally having a lot of models for parts, and also lots of materials (which I try to reuse if possible but usually it's impossible), Jbeam (again I try to avoid duplicates unless it would sacrifise user experience with parts selector) and many configs with temporary high resolution thumbnails. Will be way less on official release I hope, maybe I can get it to 50% of the current size.

Maybe in version 2.0 when we redo the whole model from scratch, because now it would be wasted effort and long waiting for you to optimize the model while everything else would be ready...
Speaking of which, already a lot of stuff is ready, I fixed everything that was reported. What remains is:
    • Inter Groclin seat textures and Jbeam
    • Finishing tires
    • Fixing a few small things I found myself
    • Italian headlight protectors
    • More vent covers
    • Rubber details in interior (AdamPLG will make them)
    • Radiator for Diesel version, I always forget about it lol
    • Improved sounds, we have the person to make them already
    • Configs update, won't add any more configs for this version anymore, there is plenty enough, maybe too much lol
    • Thumbnails, config stats
    • Final testing
That should be all unless someone gets an idea for something quick again. (TAN had a lot of ideas like this, this is why the progress went so different than on the previous list)

I did some research for non-stock configs again, based on some old magazine articles I found, and apparently I have to redo the rally skidplate. It was absolutely MASSIVE irl... It is to protect the fuel tank. And there was a front one too for leaf spring protection, I have to add it too. Mine looks like an amateur rally skidplate compared to this lol, which is not often used, people use rubber fuel tank protection instead.
    3.jpg 4.jpg
Also, I was worried that my roll cage was too heavy compared to the rest of the car (a bit lower weight than Piccolina), but turns out that irl that is also the case, a full roll cage like the Race Cages brand one increases the weight by a lot, so for amateur rally people usually use an alternative, like a Vica Motorsport half roll cage or just a single homemade headband, that's more stuff to add because I have the issue with weight of the hillclimb version.
Some info about tuning: A common practice for self-made sport suspension is adding an extra leaf for the front suspension and shortening the rear coil springs, as well as adding sport shocks, Bilstein on the rear and Gabriel or KYB on the front, or replacing the shock fluid. Brakes stay stock because with lower weight they don't need to be stronger, or with bigger tuning they can be replaced with disc ones from bigger Fiat 125p.
And weird info: Apparently due to nothing being standardized in communism, various units of the 600cc engine could receive different parts, which could affect the horsepower by a lot, there could be a 15hp difference between 2 theoretically identical engines... Sounds unbelievable lol. With 650cc one the factory had more parts already so it wasn't that big of an issue.

Improved roll cage model, added lighter but less safe half roll cage and even lighter but even less safe headband

That’s a lot of skidplate lol

I wouldn't be too weirded out by the big differences with the early engines, although 15 hp sounds like a bit too much.

There is also the possibility of massive difference in build quality, also in tuning of the engine. I believe that first like a year and a half the engines were tuned by ear which is just…. unbelievable.

So I found this video of a guy rebuilding this car...

And according to it, several parts of the car, like the decklid, headlights, and the rear seat in 2 pieces aren't bolted to the car anywhere, they just... pop in instead??? I knew that the headlights and windshield are like this, but not that the decklid and rear seat too... Can someone tell if this was just shown like this for simplicity, or is it really like this in the car? If that's a thing, then I should definitely redo the decklid hinge and latch, because this is drastically different from what I imagined, and not only I would have to make it way weaker, but also in this context the beater hinges I made make no sense, and the latch is done all wrong... And maybe I should also make the pieces of rear seat be able to fall off like the front seats but even weaker...

I never removed decklid from mine when I had it, but I googled real quick and no, it's bolted.
Rear seats sound likely to be just put in place.
I also found a video showing how to detach it, so it may be helpful
(terrible and loud music warning, better mute it before playing)

Thanks, this confirms that the hinge and latch work the way I initially imagined, so no change needed. I can try with the rear seat though. Also, my ears, I didn't expect it to be THIS loud lol

Inter Groclin seats ready for texturing... I'll have to make a lot of textures, but TAN sent me some samples and I also found a website that has close ups of some of the patterns so maybe it won't be that painful

Racing seats, +70000000hp, -10000kg, weight reduction.

Tbf, it would be cool to have a seat option increas hp, or, any other non engine related option give more hp

They are a lot lighter than stock, like irl, so I guess that counts. I could add a joke +5hp sticker that really adds 5hp lol
