He's literally asking you to subscribe and be a member to his youtube channel just to access his mod --- Post updated --- Another thing, where is your topo? your jbeam structure? Can't you even show it here???
more and more this mod seems to be a scam. i would be suprised if he even gives you the mod if you paid tbh
Guys calm down and stay on topic. Let @TonyCartony answer to this before starting with theorys. And anything related to forum rules is on moderator side. Just report the post if you don't feel its right. Stop filling this thread with your interpretations.
If OP wants a better payment system, maybe use Gumroad or Ko-Fi. LucasBE uses it for his roof accessories mod, and most people are happy with it the websites.
Well it doesent exactly seem he will respond to anything. and yes i probably sound like a crazy homeless guy
Hi All, well I am not reading the thread for two days and there are a lot of posts that would need a feedback from me! I am sad to read someone betting I am scammer, but that's internet, it is well known that when you say something, someone will throw you a stone, no matter what you say.. But also thanks to the ones who endorsed me, really I appreciate! Ok I am not very talkative so none knows me on this forum. Or at least you have missed the videos I am posting since one year and more in the video sections, but no problem. In a few words I have few time for talk and discuss, becuase of job and family to take care of, but I love car games and codings, so BeamNG was the second house waiting for me! When I discovered that one can build his own vehicle with not only 3D meshes but actual code in jbeams and lua... well I shout urrah! I was also a biker (ducati, you know .. I am italian...) and very soon started missing bikes in BeamNG. I used the know ones (Suzuki 750, Ducati FCR 900 ... ) but if anyone of you tried them, he knows they are not staying up well. the Ducati does not even start! So I started to figure out how to improve them, and studied the PID algorithm. In a few words its exploits the centrifugal force that pulls up real bycicles and bikes when they are falling and steering at the same time. And it works with BeamNG phisics!!!! amazing!!! Well there is still space of improvements, and also I suspect that there is some numerical limit somewhere that prevents the bikes to reach high speeds, but I think I could improve a little the existing bikes, see below videos! Also I refactored weight of the nodes and got fun wheelings! Now let's say a few words about paid mod and forum. I didn't want to offend anyone, especially creators that share their mods for free, I totally respect them. But at the same time aren't you paying for the game itself or did you download for free? I am not asking every hour of the 150 I spent on this project to be paid, I am just asking a beer! Won't you offer me one if we were in a bar and I would have gift you the bike I am not hoping to get rich with this money, I am just trying to boost a little my YT channel, that is not so good (probably I am not good in filming .. ) and fundraising to buy new 3D models to make more bikes. My next project indeed is a dirt bike! Years ago I developed a bot playing bejeweled for facebook, and I used Paypal to sell it, but they are taking their percentage! YT is very rich, it doesn't care to give you 100% of the membership fee, so why don't use it? I have also posted the mod in the available mod websites (the ones that allowed me) hoping to prevent others to re-publish my mod. And last but not least advertising is very hard on internet ... I thought that BeamNG forum was the best place to advertise a BeamNG mod no? And yes also Crashhard is willing to do it => https://www.beamng.com/threads/the-crashhard-dummy-2-0.85070/ I know you know him very well while I am stranger, then I will update the first post here providing some shot of the sliding nodes suspension (I can guarantee there is no other BeamNG public bike using it, the privates one I cannot know) and more videos with the bike turning and overtaking... Hope I have answered you all.. Tony.
What is that map you driving on there at 43 second? And i think the price for the mod is really low. It could be much "wrose". Just don't be greedy guys. No one is forceing you to get this mod. If you really want it, spend your "huge" amount of money on it. Or just don't. People won't do mods for free for ever. Games getting more and more complex and require more and more skills and time. Any entrepreneur would consider such a price to be suicide. As long the quality of the mod is deserved to be paid, i think its not a bad thing. I only see the payment method as a problem. As when you wanna buy something, you don't automaticly agree with its every platform own contract like data collection.
Hello, Your mod looks very nice from the pictures but i was wondering if i could see its jbeam structure here or maybe it is on your youtube channel?
There is no tutorial yet, but it is like to drive a BeamNG car, just you need to be more gentle on the steer. So the best is to use a Steering Wheel (even a cheap 30° one is ok, I am using that) with pedals and manual gearbox. You don't need to use the clutch, you can rely on clutch assistant of the game. The bike can be used also with a keyboard, but imagine to drive a real motorcycle where you can only have no steer or totally steered.. would be very difficult! With a Steering wheel you can have also partial steer, that is very important. --- Post updated --- Yes I am working on a new video to show the bike can actually steer, and I will post also some pic of the jbeam structure, everything in the first post Also I want to work on an updated steering algorithm to support keyboard and controllers, since I can see several users don't have a steering wheel Tony
Wrong. YouTube takes a fee from everything. 30% for membership (source) 32% for AdSense revenue from video ads (source) 49% for Adsense for search (source) Up to 80% for Superchat - 30% YT fee + ~20% local sales tax + 30% App Store fees on iOS (source)
