no teaser march is in full swing for sure --- Post updated --- in all seriousness though, i suspect they ran into some sort of issue with the new supercar, since they have always talked about the struggles of modelling and making a supercar as realistic as possible, and that this snag is halting alot of the update development, which is why there have not been any new teasers
honestly, looking at the spammy and offtopic posts you've been posting day in and day out, you might wanna consider talking less, or atleast less sporadically, not trying to be mean, but its literally in the forum rules to not just type "lmao" or some offtopic 4 word message for no reason and pressing enter. just put a little more effort into your posts, and you'll do fine quality is so much better than quantity here. its been a while since i last posted on the beamng forums but this kinda behavior reminds me why i got tired of dealing with it sometimes. --- Post updated --- btw, it is nice to see you guys, car8john and thatcarguydownthestreet, been a very long time since i was active, but glad to still see some familiar names
nice seeing you too man id rather wait another month for a bug free supercar than constantly have it worked on tbh, even if they released it like how they released the sunburst and t series with missing interiors/etc but still having a working shell testbed would be fine by me, as long as whats released works
yeah no the sunburst didnt have an interior for the longest time and if i remember right the t series came without a cab, just the frame and engine
Well, that means it’s time to start saying update tomorrow and hope for the best. If a week goes by without it releasing, we riot. Who’s with me?
This will be really useful, provided that it's kept updated. One thing I hadn't noticed at all until you laid it all out visually like that is that there's almost three periods of BeamNG vehicle releases - the initial push, the present push, and the slower period in between. I think that slowdown roughly corresponds to the period where official vehicles started getting more complex, the team started work on deepening the existing official vehicle's content, and the fallout from the Legran development outsourcing boondoggle. But it looks like the vehicle development team has grown and overcome those struggles in an amazing way - 2021 was the best year for new vehicle releases since 2016, and that's not even counting the myriad adjustments, remasters, and new content added to existing official vehicles happening recently. I wouldn't be entirely surprised if we start seeing new vehicles added more frequently in the future. I'm not sure if we'll ever see those heady days again where it seemed like there was an all-new vehicle coming out every couple of months (again, official vehicles have gotten lots more in-depth and complex since then, and once something is in-game, the dev team has to maintain it), but it's quite impressive and encouraging to see the way the vehicle team has been really hitting its stride lately!
Indeed, I will try to keep it updated when a new vehicle will come out. And yeah, 2016 was probably a crazy year, like you get the ETK-K then only 1.5 months later you get the ETK-I that was probably pretty cool. The empty era of 2017/2019 was probably pretty loooong and boring. There's also a feeling that 2016 was the top year of BeamNG with the biggest explosion of players and stuff, and since then it slowed down mainly because of 2017/2019. Look like we are now heading to a new golden age.
