It used to be a motorbike engine originally, and also the Pigeon had 1 config at first, then they added the 600 and training wheels, then van and street cleaning, then years later they remastered it. The Pigeon was generally absurd at first, everything in it except for the frame and powertrain was made of plastic, even the glass and seats, it had no interior panels, ran on Diesel for some reason, had low resolution textures and was generally made in a really simple way Jbeam-wise
Clearly a waste of potential and a waste of time. And yet everyone was over hyped about it. Now people are getting angry when it spawn in AI traffic because it don't look realistic to get Wigeon everywhere on normal roads xD
Meh, it make a double with the Pigeon, same "one front wheel two rear wheels" concept, it's not really useful especially as a modding platform,... --- Post updated --- Damn if we got that I explode of joy. A minivan is a really good modding platform.
while i would love to see a vanilla minivan, i don't think it is going to happen, or at least anytime soon. car_killer is still working on the kashira, which i don't think he would do if he knew there was a minivan coming. also, i think working on one new vehicle by itself is enough. it is hard to make any vehicle for the game, let alone to the teams standards.
Well if I take back my datas, we got three vehicles in 2021, so it's totally possible to get 2 more vehicles after or before the supercar.
If you have to make sure people know it’s speculation by writing “speculation” it’s probably not speculation
Of time and potential. It could have been a far more interesting vehicle but sadly, it's just a Pigeon with a different body and a shorter frame.
Yep, technical advancements in BeamNG happen very often (almost every update I can remember and think of) so twincharging is very possible to be entering the game. AWD would be very useful to a Covet Wagon, a Covet Minivan and, of course, to a mid-engined Covet rally car baby, I'm really looking forward to see it and drive it!! Also, about body styles, don't forget the CR-X one! Also, about aerodynamics, we already have functional aerodynamics in BeamNG (remember the fact that the giant rear wing of the Group 5 Bolide flexes under air pressure plus the automatic rear wing of the SBR4 cuts some top speed at its highest "Sport+" position plus the Nomi front spoilers and rear wings actually push the cars down) but I agree with everyone saying it needs further development and exploitation.
Man y’all gotta stop crying about the wigeon. Everyone wants something different. If that’s what the devs made so be it. It’s not the only car they made.
I disagree, having a single front wheel gives it the character we've known ever since it got in the game! Plus it's a bit difficult rolling over the Pigeon because it's almost like a Daruma toy! But yes, a Pigeon/Wigeon competitor with a single rear wheel would be very interesting, for seeing the advantages and disadvantages of each setup!
The fact that it's built on the Pigeon chassis meant that they could add it along side the pigeon as a fun partner without too much time and work, we got it literally the next update after the Wendover and it didn't affect the time of the Bastion release at all so I don't see how it's a waste
i like the stuff went from, people exicited that the update is almost done to just insulting the poor wigeon
One can have whatever opinion they want but I believe you're wrong on this one because they're very fun vehicles to play with. Plus, they're results of one of the core values of BeamNG: offering a variety of different vehicles for every taste and purpose! They may share all the core parts, but the Pigeon and Wigeon are still two different vehicles: the Pigeon is more of a light commercial vehicle while the Wigeon is a city car for the downtown streets. Plus the parts that make them different from one another (the glass doors, the interior and the body design of the Wigeon, with the pop-up headlights) have tons of character and they also define their aforementioned purposes! That 600cc Inline-3 was a thrashy little monster. If a motorcycle ever gets added in BeamNG, this can be a very good candidate for a powertrain!
