Ah, actually you'll want to copy it to the mods folder under the user folder. The path is "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\BeamNG.drive\0.24\mods".
You've probably unzipped it, don't do that, you need to put the zip you've downloaded into that folder as is.
ok now i put the zipped folder as it was in that folder and as previous outcomes has occured it still will not show up in BeamNG this is getting on my nerves
Can you take a screenshot of file explorer showing the mod in the folder? It should look something like this
if i could give everyone who helped me install this map a kiss i would because all of you are bloody legends thanks
I downloaded this map from beamng, and when I spawn a vehicle, the frame rate sticks at 1.8 frames per second. No matter how many times I relaunch, redownload, respawn, any vehicle, the game is stuck at 1.8 frames per second. There was one time where I got the frame rate to actually go to normal levels, but then the map UI got stuck on the screen so I had to reload. This only happens in this map. Any ways to un-screw this?
It doesn't sound like a spec sheet problem. Even when I ran this map on a GT 730, I got at least 5 but it bumped around a lot
I've upgraded to an rtx 3060 since then, so now I have no issues running with it. But I remember having the same problems when I still had an r9 270x. It would run at like 10 to 15 fps until I turned all of the settings to the absolute lowest, turned them back to medium and it miraculously started running well at like 35 fps. That was until I reloaded the game and it started running at 10 fps again. Those problems are behind me now, but it still seems less to do with specs.
Oh man, just tried this map and its awesome. Need for speed games always had beautiful maps, but shitty physics and now I get to try them with realistic physics. This is just awesome, thank you very much. Just one thing that would make it even better is breakable fences to secret roads. Would really interesting to try the maps from even older need for speed games like NFS 4: High Stakes. Also made me think how cool would it be to have this with all the gameplay stuff like missions, realistic cops, fuel stations, car repairing and racing, would be nice if new GTA had such realistic physics or maybe some kind of new Mafia game.
Sure, the road isn't perfectly smooth, but a normal road isn't a race track, your car has too stiff a suspension for public roads, and you're not following the speed limit--- Публікацію оновлено --- About vegetation I don't understand anything about it, but in this video, the author corrects the vegetation and background on a map from Aseto Corsa, which he ports to BeamNG ......... @Eskim
